cos we want to play with 4 defenders, as much as I like Kolasinac, he can't defend. we can't play with 4 defenders, when Kolasinac (can't defend), Mustafi (can't defend), AMN (is not a right back).

however I agree with you, we need winger (Malcom, Everton), CM (there were some rumours about Ceballos loan, but that's it), we needed CB, now with Koscielny bullshitting we need it even more. these are most crucial parts imo, however we still can't offload deadwood like Mkhi, Ozil, Mustafi, Xhaka which is slowing our rebuilding.

Also crosses into the box, = pass to Auba and Lacazette. Rather than just midfield.

xhaka? deadwood? you saw how the team played with and without him, hes not perfect but hes defintely a good squad player.

lol, kolasinac has been playing as a LWB so yeah he hasnt been in the position to defend, but hes a bit better than bellerin at defending just slower (and noone seems to think we need a new right back) but his link up play and crosses were the fucking highlights of last season. Im shocked at your responses.

yeah, he is good squad player, europa league quality, that's where we're playing since we have signed him. his only + is his long shot and long passing skill, which he can do only when he has tons of time. he is very slow, can't defend (how many times this season he just let it be, gave up and we conceded?), we need someone like Cazorla to replace him. it's shame how much has our midfield regressed, we had best midfielders in the league but terrible attack. now our attack is much better, but the midfielders behind are crap, we have no one who can do any 1on1, dribble or anything.

well, that's because that was our only tactic if you looked at our games. Iwobi to Kolasinac, cutback and hope someone from Auba/Lacazette will score. we have no wingers, that's why we need someone like Everton, Malcom or Zaha, who will step up 1on1. Emery wants to play 4231, but we simply can't do that, we have no defence for that. I'd like to keep Kolasinac, cos I think he is good enough, but we need another LB if we wanna play with 4 defenders.

and noone seems to think we need a new right back

we actually do, since Bellerin was injured we relied only on Kolasinac cutbacks.. but we need the CB, CM and Winger as a priority.. our squad is really think.

if you look at our squad depth, we're really thin, 38 EPL games, Carabo Cuo, FA cup, Europa Leagueenter image description here

Man, feel bad for Arsenal and their fans, thing are not looking too well right now. Still, if Emery is given a chance to build and that the younger player do live up to hype, I think they could do well. Right now, they should aim for a CL place. Still think they could do it.

On other news, Delph has just signed for Everton.

my point in saying that kolasinac has been playing more LWB as a defence is to mean that, when he plays as LB he can still defend well enough, it shouldnt be a focus and spending more than half our transfer budget on one LB makes no sense.

If you think thats what makes Xhaka good then you are looking at him in a very one dimensional way, he moves the ball, hes always tries to make himself available to receive the ball from the CB who (when you watch when Xhaka isn't playing) have really been frustrating to watch as they have either no options and go long or play to other CM who just play it back to them, Xhaka has good long shots but anyone who knows about statistics knows how ineffective long shots are in reality, his role is to move the ball around and thats what he does best.

side-note: also we don't dribble, don't pretend our attack is perfect, laca and aub are our only options now, every time i see us playing with Iwobi it feels like we are playing with one less (he dribbles but straight into them or slows down the game or just uselessly)

basically we need CB and winger, no doubt, yet it doesn't even seem like a focus of Arsenal right now, i don't know what they are thinking.
personally I feel we don't need a new CM just because of the ages of our CM, the potential we have and since we have AMN. There needs to be faith shown in our promising younger players especially with a shit budget like ours

And Ramsey or Guendouzi or someone from midfield. But Ramsey played what half a season.

Im shocked at your responses.

Why ask then ? Welcome to Footyroom forum.

  • West Ham bet on Sebastien Haller from Frankfurt.
  • Zlatan would see himself back at Ajax one day.
  • De Gea could become the best paid keeper in the world after signing his new contract.
  • Porto would have made PSG an offer for Kevin Trapp.
  • Spurs could offer Bale an exit door, however, his wage could be an issue.
  • Harry Maguire has made it known he would like to join Manchester United or City if either of those club meet Leicester valuation of him.
  • Barca apparently had to take a loan to make the Neymar transfer.
  • Arsenal will miss out on Nabil Fekir since they cannot offload Ozil.
  • Pogba set to stay as no team are making a bid for him. However, were he to leave, United intend to target Eriksen to replace him.
  • United set to make a bid for Bruno Fernandes in the following week.
  • Inter still want Lukaku and are preparing another bid for him.
  • 4 club interested in Jean Michel Seri.

Also, I believe Neymar won't be joining Barca this summer, cause if what quikzyyy say is true and they are deep in debth, they obviously won't have the money anymore for such a move.

Regarding United's affair, I would also be content with Harry Maguire.

A high-profiled English CB, most likely to be guaranteed an England spot every time, and still fairly young. I think he's overvalued, absolutely, but he will without a doubt improve our defensive line up. I see this as a good move for us, as I've read that we were also considering him, last summer, but didn't because of the possible options of Koulibaly (mainly) and others. Maguire and Lindelof wouldn't be the best partnership in the premier league, but it's better than what we've got now, so if this does happen, I'll be happy.

Aside from that, I really hope the board can pick up the pace and swoop in for Fernandes asap. While Maguire can easily adapt due to his PL experience, Fernandes is still a gamble, in spite of his stats last season in Portugal.

@iHEART Not wanting to sound negative but I got a feeling you are not getting Maguire. Hope I'm wrong but with the new mentality behind how United been doing business, I feel it might be hard for them fork that much money for a single CB. Like I said though, I really hope to be wrong because he could make an huge difference next season.

Dear Gd no.

He has good feet Maguire. But yes I agree, he is a different type of defender. Not entirely sure about his pace and speed.

So apparently PSG said no to a deal involving Coutinho+Dembele+45M euros for Neymar...

If it involves Dembele and a good deal of money they should take it! What are they thinking keeping this cry baby diva?!

Coutinho and Rakitic :) Dembele is going nowhere lol.

We cant buy him, no team can right now atm, so since he wants to leave. you got Pogba + money or choose any player from Barça not on the starting list...

Dembele is going nowhere, Neymar should play a whole season without injury to be worth the price tag. Right now he is like Bale for me.

I dont know why Barca direction are obsessed to sign him back, he will be whistled at Camp Nou....

Coutinho and Rakitic? lol good joke. Tell it to Barcas board. Im just saying PSG should accept a bid if it involves Dembele.

Apparently Liverpool are in for a 1-2 year loan deal for Coutinho plus an option to buy at the end. I don't know if that is true. I don't think the Liverpool board are too pleased with him coming back especially with the way he left.

Lol who cares? Countinho 1-2 years loan is excellent addition. Liverpool obviously targets EPL title this year.

@tiki

Because he is brand with charisma that brings viewers, sells shirts, brings sponsors and world class technical player? He also cries a lot and dives often so he perfectly fits vision and values of Barcelona football philosophy.

@Pelle Don't think Barca are gonna try to involve Dembele in the transaction tbf. Seem like he want to stay and the club also want him.

@tiki Gonna be honest, I don't think Barca are desperate to get him, they are just trying it because they got some player they would like to offload as well. If I'm being honest, Neymar seem more desperate and he got reason to be if you want my opinion. He chose from his own accord to be a prisonier of PSG and now that he want to leave because their fed up with his extravagant lifestyle, he regret it.
