Club Statement

Chelsea Football Club and Jose Mourinho have today parted company by
mutual consent.

All at Chelsea thank Jose for his immense contribution since he
returned as manager in the summer of 2013.

His three league titles, FA Cup, Community Shield and three League Cup
wins over two spells make him the most successful manager in our
110-year history. But both Jose and the board agreed results have not
been good enough this season and believe it is in the best interests
of both parties to go our separate ways.

The club wishes to make clear Jose leaves us on good terms and will
always remain a much-loved, respected and significant figure at
Chelsea. His legacy at Stamford Bridge and in England has long been
guaranteed and he will always be warmly welcomed back to Stamford
Bridge.

The club’s focus is now on ensuring our talented squad reaches its
potential.

There will be no further comment until a new appointment is made.

After their board meeting yesterday, Abramovich and the Chelsea board have decided to let the Portuguese Manager go!

How do you feel about this decision Chelsea fans? And the other fans, are you happy about this decision?

Discuss!

I dislike Mourinho, but I do feel sorry for him. I feel like it was Chelsea's players fault for not performing. Hiddink will replace Mou till the end of the season and that is a good choice for them I think, although Hiddink was horrible at his last job....

I never, never, ever expected this. Ever. Just like Real already regret sacking Ancelotti, Chelsea will regret sacking Mourinho for the rest of their lives. As a Spurs fan, I'm very happy they sacked him, but as a human being I just feel sorry for the guy.

The real question now is: Where will Mourinho go? (hopefully Spurs lol)

Mou did say top 4 is out of reach.. maybe that is one of the reasons he is sacked? i dont like Mou but he REALLY deserve to be given time till the end of this season.. pity him..

P/S : Mourinho gets 40 mil pound for his release clause if im not mistaken.

@Lilywhite Why would you want a new manager? Pochettino's doing a great job in Tottenham, no?

I think Mourinho will take Portugal to Euro 2016 ....

At this time, this is just a stupid decision.

@Gennady It was more of a joke, I'm a big fan of Pochettino, but if I had the choice between him and Mourinho I would want Mourinho all day every day.

Mourinho has already said he wants to coach Portugal but not until he's at least 65 because he loves the "everyday"-work of coaching a club.

I was certain Chelsea was going to boot Mourinho, but I at least thought they'd keep him until they went out of the CL...this surprises me.

^Chelsea fans have faith on Mourinho.. but not the board and some Chelsea players.. BPL lost 1 great manager..

I have to admit it is a great feeling knowing that Mourinho will not be able to break SAF's insane record in the PL. But as much as I hate this mans guts, I feel for Mourinho since his players clearly let him down. That is the worst thing that can happen to you as a manager. I can't help but wonder if LvG will meet the same fate soon..

The club betrayed the fans! I feel so disconnected from the club right now. I would rather be relegated with Mourinho than have him sacked.. It's not his fault that the players have underperformed tremendously.. but it's easier to sack the manager than to sack half the team..

Rumours has it that Guus Hiddink will take over as interim manager and that the long term goal of a replacemeant is Diego Simeone..

Anyways, I will miss Mourinho.. so FUck this!

^Disagree lol. You should think about the bigger picture. "It's not his fault that the players have underperformed tremendously" Lol. It's exactly his fault, it's his responsibility to get the best out of players - that's the reason we even have "MANAGERS" in football teams. He lost the dressing room because of his idiotism, simple as that.

I don't think any fan should support a manager so blindly. FOr a manager with such a good history, he has been atrocious this year. His worst season yet. I think Mou should have been kept till after they either won CL or were eliminated. Guus did a terrible job at Netherlands which might just carry on to the Chelsea team.
The squad is even at a worst place now, if they were divided before now they remain even more divided and will have to adapt to a new manager and his style.

As for the future, Pep has stated CHelsea need 10 new players before he would consider joining and Simeone has a lot of doubts and would rather stay with Atletico.

Any ways, the thought just occured to me that Nuno Espiritu Santo is available and could do a decent job at Chelsea.

Ofcourse you Arsenal fans are happy . Finally Mourinho will stop humiliating Wenger and Arsenal . Enjoy now , that is your chance to beat us in the league .

Blindly is supporting someone like Pep to come who says we need 10 players but yet they still blame Mourinho . Funny thing though even Pep far in Germany sees that many players need to fcking go who are not being professional ! Pep hates rebellious players .

That Fabregas is rotten apple he most likely started to divide team . It just never settled well in my mind when he joined us .
