Premier League 2024/25

Man City are still the favourites which proves again that the EPL is a farmers league.

I dont know who will finish behind them this time but it's highly unlikely to be us.

If we don't sign a striker we will go another season without a trophy and finish 3rd or 4th.

I cannot agree with the view that the Premier League is a “farmer’s league”. The Premier League is one of the most exciting and quality leagues in the world. Although Manchester City are the top contenders, that does not mean that the league is weak. Your team’s performance will depend on many factors, and it is impossible to make a definite prediction. I advise you to follow the league carefully.

They could get points deducted so they might not win EPL 24/25 😁

Lol if they don't charge city the Fa are definitely corrupt and taking bribes but that's no surprise.

Gameweek 1 has proved nothing has changed since last season. Chelsea, Man Utd and Tottenham will be fighting for top 4 whilst Arsenal and Liverpoool will finish behind City.

City are stronger with Savio and they will likely strengthen their team more before the window closes. They will finish further ahead than last season unless we sign a ST, RW and midfielder.

Chelsea did not look that bad against City in the opener, and they have one of the youngest squads in a long time. Once they jell, they might make some noise.

City are scary because they did not have the best match but still managed to control things. They are a few weeks from really finding their groove.

Liverpool looked decent.

I missed the United match, so cant say much there.

The season has just started so no need to pull hair out just yet! haha

City will most likely get some kind of punishement but my biggest worry is that they wait a long time to give it to them because it might take a long time to go through all the charges.

Honestly, very hard to take anything out of the first few games, look like most team are still on the dynamic they had last season. One thing though, the referees were especially bad on the first day.

Games I watched a bit of were City vs Chelsea and Leicester vs Tottenham. Seeing Vardy reminding the Spurs fans they won less PL than him was quite funny.

None of the big teams seemed really bad to me but Tottenham not winning despite them dominating the first half so much seem like a bad start for them. Also, Solanke just look like someone who really feeling the pressure right now. The pricetag and the fact he play for a Spurs not gonna make it easy for him I fear.

Another team which impressed me was Aston Villa, seem like they are gonna be a tough team to play against, hope they can do well this season again.

What a horrible red card on RIce. Ref completely ruined the game.

It was the right decision by the ref. Rice ruined the game by doing something stupid on a yellow card.

Stupid Rice… when having a yellow card you should be careful.

  1. ball is nowhere near where the foul was
  2. ball was moving

Former PL ref Mark Halsey on Rice red card incident: “The ball was rolling when Brighton’s Joel Veltman took the free kick, so the re-start would not have taken place as it would have been wrong in law. Therefore, the delaying a restart doesn’t apply.

you want that to be 2nd yellow? now go on and tell me where are yellows in this case? could probably show you another 10 incidents from just today matches

where was yellow here?

where was yellow here? booted it half across the pitch

After seeing the other yellow card incidents from Brighton players that the ref didn't give it is clear the ref's job was to ensure we drop points.

Ok I haven’t been writing much lately. But I do occasionally read… anyway.

After a few games into the season I have some thoughts that I wanted to share.

  • Is there anything that can stop Man City from another title? (besides them maybe getting penalized by FA)
  • Is Man Utd and Chelsea permanently stuck in mediocrity? Do they have any long term strategy but trying to buy themselves out of the ”slump”?
  • Will this be the season when Everton finally is relegated?
  • Will Liverpool do well without Klopp in the long run?
  • Will this be yet another trophyless season for the Spurs?
