Are there any players I have not included that you think would deserve to be on the list? I started watching football properly in 2008, so post-2008 judgement only, please. :P

I'm just happy to see Forlan on there. He was so fun to watch - I suppose because I missed his United days.
Aside from that, a good mix of positions, you managed to include a fair amount of each line of the field. I won't comment on your rankings because that's purposely subjective and would be missing the point. Little bit surprised to see no Bale/Zidane/Lahm/Muller/Pirlo. But, as I said, subjective.
EDIT: 2008, forget Zidane then. Also I started watching this sport before you, didn't expect that.

Where's Carrick? That guy has been one of most consistent players in EPL the past few years and even when United are struggling, he can shine and deliver. Puyol was the center of Spain's defensive not Ramos when they won the WC and Euros. That guy had everything in him and I would argue was better in defending than Sergio Ramos. Lahm is probably Bavaria's finest or was.
puyol and riquelme
Zanetti, Batistuta, Recoba, Seedorf, Maldini, Carlos, Ronaldo Fenomeno, Rivaldo, Bergkamp, Figo, Cantona, Scholes, Stankovic, Baggio, Pirlo, Cafu, D. Milito, Van Nistelrooy, Jay Jay Okotcha, Hasselbaink, Zola, A. Cole, Lampard, Rio Ferdinand, Walter Samuel, Maicon, Zamorano, Raul, Larsson, Tevez, Makelele, Guti, Di Canio, Thuram, De Rossi, Van der Sar, Romario, Kahn, Dwight Yorke, Cambiasso, Wise, Berbatov, Shevchenko, Vieira.

Fenomeno definitely in my top 5, horrible injury, weight and he still delivered at high level, at Barca/Inter he was scary.
Scholes best English player of his generation until now.
I rate Tevez higher than Torres/RVP both having one season over 30 goals but both weren't as consistent.
MANY choices make sense, wolfies list is a decade earlier i guess he is older.
Baggio magical player with Del Piero, Pirlo... Italian artists list is amazing.
Ribery higher than Modric looks odd in my eyes, but overall nice list shows your style of player preference.
@SunFlash
You're right. Lahm I forgot. I don't rate Muller and Bale on the same level as the lads I listed above, personally. They'll definitely be on my list eventually (along with the likes of Neymar, Verratti, Kroos). I think I'd put Klose up there too, I thought he was terrific.
@Gonzi
Puyol was terrific, but I'm not fully convinced he was better than the likes of Ramos, Vidic, Terry. Unfortunately, I never watched Riquelme play live. I didn't watch La Liga when he was there.
@Wolfie
Out of the ones I've watched on your list, it seems like I forgot Ashley Cole, Maicon, and Zanetti.
I never really got to watch Ferdinand, Shevchenko, or Scholes in their primes. The other players are either before my generation, or I don't rate them as highly (e.g. Guti, Samuel, Berbatov). :/
@Tiki
I thought RvP was magical, though. He was a personal favorite of mine. Only reason I watched Arsenal back then was because of RvP and Arshavin. Tevez is definitely a terrific player in my eyes, but I don't know... I think I'd sooner put Higuain up there. Unless you can convince me otherwise, of course. I'm open to any and all suggestions. :P
Seeing Modric at 21 and Ineista at 7 shows that you rate Modric higher than Ineista currently but not looking at the totality of their careers. I respect your objectivity.
As for players that I believe deserve a shout-out, I'd have to put Yaya Toure up there. He has been consistently good from 2009-2015 which is more than many footballers could ask for. This may be extreme, but I'd honestly put him in the 2010's XI, but that's just my opinion.
I updated my list. Let me know what you guys think now. I changed the position of Modric, and inserted Higuain, Maicon, Cole, Lahm, and Zanetti. Apparently I have a thing against fullbacks.
I put asterisks around the players I changed after the feedback I received from you guys.
@Madridista11
I hear you. I also rate Toure highly, but I think what hurts him is the fact that he is an on-off player. Consistency is something all great players have, in my eyes, and Toure didn't always have that. Still, he's one of the players I want to put on the list but don't know where to put him.

Well the thing that REALLY hurt him was the 13/14 season in which I consider that year to be his best. Dude played like a baller and unfortunately failed to display the same performances years later. What's tragic about him is that his decline was not steady, much like Rooney's. What that does is that it completely ruins the image a player had for over a decade.
And then I realize if I was the one making that list, it would be way shorter. (Started watching football at WC 2014 and only more seriously at he end of the 2014-15 season.) :(
I'm drawing a big blank on other names. Maybe Totti or De Rossi? Julio Cesar maybe as well. Another name that has yet to be mentioned is David Villa. I personally wouldn't put Drogba in my top 50, but I'd understand if he was in yours.
can't believe you didn't put me in your list so sad :'(
@Dyna - Some say Messi is great but we'll never see another player like Zanetti. A player that symbolizes honour and a freak of an athlete well into his late 30's. I want to see if Messi can run up and down the pitch for 90 mins when he's 39. Never involved in any controversy on and off the pitch. A leader in every sense of the word. There is literally no fan on this Earth who can say anything negative about Pupi.
Drogbaaaaaaaa! Best big game player!
Agree with Sun and 8, Drogba and Villa migh definetly deserve a mention.
Marcelo deserves a mention too
@Chelsea8 King Drogba one of my all time favorites! This man never cracked under pressure.
@madridista11 yes bro, he maybe didn't score crazy amount of goals but he always scored when it mattered!
So help me out here, fellas. I'm trying to make a list of the best players I have seen live (truly great ones), and here's the list I have compiled so far. I made the list in like 15 minutes, so I haven't thought it out very well.
I want to hear your thoughts on who you would switch up on the list, and see which players I am overrating or underrating.
