Genius move from Jose : Juan Mata leaving to Manchester United for 40 million pounds !

Just like to say that this is great business for Chelsea . Unfortunately Juan Mata did not fit into the team that was perfectly fine and better without him .

Some of you might think this is stupid to sell such a great midfielder to our rivals . However , I think it is a genius move !! Here is why : Let's not fool ourselves but United is out of the title race and Jose wants to strengthen them ahead of the vital matches against Chelsea's direct title contenders , City and Arsenal . Soon Persie and Rooney will be back and this is just great news for Chelsea and bad news for City and Arsenal !

Yes , it is risky for next season but I do not think Mata will be much of threat against a team that nourished him and knows him very well .

Just like to underline it again

  1. Great business making great profit on the player that used to be winger

  2. Tactics strengthening United so they be prepared against City and Arsenal .

Anyways , thank you Moyes if this deal happens !

@KingHenry , So what let it be ! We love playing against United .
And Lol such a childish remark , I simply admire and love this great manager ! Completed 100 victories in 142 games with a Chelsea team that was 20 points by off from top of the table by January of last year . That is special from special one ! He is just getting started ;)))

The best thing to happen is if they sign Mata now and agree to sell Rooney to us in summer. :)

As for your "Tactics strengthening United so they be prepared against City and Arsenal." I think Mata will not be enough to strengthen the whole team, they still need to buy a quality ( CB - LB - CM ) then they will have a complete team. Yet it's not simple because to get the best out of Mata they should only play him as a CAM and nowhere else. Would Rooney play as a RW? if so then it will be like this:

De Gea
Rafael - Vidic - (?) - (?)
(?) - Fellaini
Rooney - Mata - Januzaj
RVP

Reliable subs: Hernandez - Kagawa - Nani - Zaha - Evra - Carrick.

Would be a hell of signing for United and for Mata.

You all don't fancy him a winger? He could give Januzaj a rest too.

I am sure Rooney is being considered . He still has not signed a contract .

@Rafael is considering move and Vidic is not same . Chicharito considering move too and Nani along with Kagawa . If Moyes can keep them it will be accomplishment .

Either way United will buy and strengthen itself next season , but it does not mean that Chelsea will be same. Chelsea will be much better team , so much better than this season . It won't Mata , because Chelsea will be Hazardous . :D Plus in Moyes we trust :)))

Strengthening your rivals is never a "genius" move. We won't win the PL this season for sure, but we will definitely get top 4 as Mata signing would be a boost to the dressing room, just like Ozil was to Arsenal. Not to mention it will act as a catalyst for bringing other world class players in the summer. One thing we lacked in the Chelsea game was confidence, because all in all we were only inferior to Chelsea when it came to the scoreline and our general play was not bad. Bringing Mata, alongside RVP and Rooney, would not solve our midfield and defensive issues, but will lift the team. Lets not forget this was the squad that dominated the PL last year and I do not think Liverpool, Tottenham and Everton will be able to finish ahead of us with 16 games to go.

"but we will definitely get top 4" well I wouldn't be that sure, none of first 6 EPL teams now seems like loosing confidence. Everyone now knows United can be hurt, and this is the time when you just go against them without respect which SAF got.
@Marcus did you read this idea from my reply on "Mata to United" post? :D

@theGame Mata is not Ozil . Ozil is way way better than Mata . I am sure Rooney is included in the deal for summer or winter . I do think United will be reluctant to sell Rooney to Chelsea but seems like Mata deal is pretty much hangs on that deal . So , I do not think Rooney will be in Moyes in rebuilding project . He will just have to accept it .

@Fabryi , Got me all confused so I looked for your comment . Nice :D great minds think alike . So you smelled the danger in the deal :)) . Did not know there was already thread in transfer rumors . Totally forgot there was Transfer rumors forum . Would have not started this thread if I knew there was one before .

@Marcus2011, are you serious when you claim that Ozil is "way better" than Mata? You didn't really provide any concrete reasons. I don't think Chelsea's 2 time player of the year, CL medal winner and proven competitive EPL player with loads of chances created, key passes and assists is less quality than Ozil. And what makes you think that Rooney is part of the deal? If anything, he will probably go to R. Madrid. Rooney is an important player to us at this time, not some player that is sitting on the bench week in week out like Mata. You'll probably just take the 35 mil and buy Costa.

Haha. I can't believe this is happening!!!! I've always admired Mata and had a slight grudge against him for playing well against us but now all that is gone!
If Chelsea don't need Mata, he's welcome to United with wide open arms. WELCOME TO OLD TRAFFORD JUAN!!!!!
Starting to forget about the important match against Sunderland...

Meanwhile!

A Spanish style midlefielder is what United are lacking for years now, after Fabregas and Alcantara attempts, Koke, Mata could be a perfect signing for United. He probably wanted to live to be fit for the world cup.
I dont think Rooney will go to Chelsea, Arsenal didnt got Nani when they sold RVP to United. But we cant predict the future.

I've got a good idea for a chant ----
This is the "JUAN" sung along the tunes of "This is the One" by Stone Roses.
Just an idea...

@tiki_taka why in the world would Arsenal wanted injury prone Nani ? Arsenal had and have even more quality in midfield .

@thegame I watched every game when Mata played . Lets remember that he became two time best during our poor season in terms of quality of performances on the pitch . Not silverware .
Amean you can't say that Mata and Ozil are in the same quality . Ozil - Number 10 for Germany , used to be number 10 for Madrid and has incredible amount of assists and his performances in big games in CL and Barcelona were brilliant . Mata never was number 10 and he does not have Ozils ability to command midfield and set the flow of the match , because Mata used to be winger but not natural playmaker .

Yeah so he can get ruined like Michael Owen . Rooney knows he will be playing under the best manager in the world with one of the best midfielders and starting as lone striker is guaranteed !! You guys talk about Rooney like he is property of United . Rooney came to United from Everton , if I recall Everton that hates United just like whole city of Liverpool . So Rooney joining Chelsea is not a huge drama .
