Just like to say that this is great business for Chelsea . Unfortunately Juan Mata did not fit into the team that was perfectly fine and better without him .

Some of you might think this is stupid to sell such a great midfielder to our rivals . However , I think it is a genius move !! Here is why : Let's not fool ourselves but United is out of the title race and Jose wants to strengthen them ahead of the vital matches against Chelsea's direct title contenders , City and Arsenal . Soon Persie and Rooney will be back and this is just great news for Chelsea and bad news for City and Arsenal !

Yes , it is risky for next season but I do not think Mata will be much of threat against a team that nourished him and knows him very well .

Just like to underline it again

1. Great business making great profit on the player that used to be winger

2. Tactics strengthening United so they be prepared against City and Arsenal .

It is never a genius move to sell a top class player, and it is just not a good move to sell it to their rivals. It can be a good deal because the profit they got (dont know how much they bought him for).

@marcus i think your under estimating how good mata is he was considerably your best player last season him or hazard and even if he didnt fit to your team your definetly nto better without him as you lost a big star to rival who agreeably arent doing great in the league but you have just strengthed something they were weak at. Obviously this is imo and its yours too but still Mata is an amazing player.

Lol, I actually think that Mata and Ozil are just about the same. Ozil edges it out for me by a slim margin due to his immense ability to command the midfield, and his unbelievable vision, but it's not like Mata doesn't have those either. He does as well, and is also a better goalscorer than Ozil.

Another look at how good Mata is. He created 33 percent of Chelsea's goals last season.

Also It fits into genius for this season , Mourinho needs a sudden impact and I think this is very smart move not only making a profit on the player that we would be able to sell for same price in summer and sell it a team that will play our rivals . I stick to it . I am 99% sure Mourinho has a pact with Moyes to bring Rooney in summer because right now United needs him . You guys love to doubt Mourinho lol I trust this manager a lot .

this is saddening..i like mata very much, he is a very nice guy, apart from a very good and skillful player. but no player is bigger than the club. i trust mourinho and he will do the best for the club.good luck mata at united and hope he can help united to improve in the next games and take points off arsenal and city.
