Whoever thinks Vidic is an 87 is on weed. He barely even plays... I mean, how is he compared to T. Silva? ATM There are loads ore defenders better than him.

You people don't understand that EA doesn't really take into consideration the form of the players for the past season... That is why Vidic and Casillas still have a decent overall.

I agree with Alex about EA boosting La Liga and underrating the rest of the leagues.
Most of the times a player can be rated 60+ but when transfered to a big club then they become 70+. There is no way a player can have that big of a transformation in one season.
I really have no idea where they get the criteria for the overalls but it is never accurate. EA sucks so badly it is hard to explain it with words but there is nothing to do if they have the greatest game franchise in their power.

100% True. That's why Torres stayed at 85 rating for so long despite his horrible form with Chelsea.

Have to agree that Banega should be higher, but I doubt he deserves an 85. Probably an 81 from me.

Ratings should be given by players abilities and performance regardless of how many games they play. Long shots for example, If EA were watching David Luiz they wouldn't give him just 71 for his Long shots and 73 for his Shot Power. I don't see what is the difference between C.Ronaldo & David Luiz on Shot Power. all the shots that David Luiz had were like bullets speed. I just want to know how EA suggest or assume the ratings that's just one example.

@Tuanis Exactly mate, and that's why I edit most of EPL players manually whenever I get the game to make it more realistic. The overall is not the problem it doesn't really matter much, but some of the stats should be realistic too like the passing/shooting/vision/crossing etc.

If Messi didn't play for a majority of this season, he should then definitely be downgraded. EA's ratings are based on their performances put in for the season before the current game. By your logic, Casillas should still be 90 overall and Vidic should remain 89 overall as well. Injured for the whole season or not, Smalling is not an 80 overall player. 78 is okay, but 80 means he goes along the same rating as Ivanovic (who is massively underrated) and two ratings away from Luiz.

The difference between David Luiz's long shots and CR7's is that CR7 scores like 12 goals from distance every year for the last 6-7 years now. O:)

David Luiz should definitely have shot power of 87+, but it'll take many more long shots for him to be on Ronaldo, Gerrard, and Messi's level. :)

In 2010-11, I think he gave something like 21 assists throughout the entire season, and his vision was only a 75 when FIFA 12 came out. It made me furious, but they finally adjusted it in December, when they updated the ratings again. That's when his vision flew from 75 to 85.

Same with Benzema. He was an 84 when FIFA 12 first came out, but ended up as an 87 during the late stage of the season. They DO change the ratings, but it just takes some time. :)

Cahill's Long shot is 66 and 63 Shot power.. just LOL. I don't see why some people can't get my point. :)

Jonny Evans positioning 27.. a 14 years old kid can do much better than that.

V & Dynestian I mentioned on my first comment that whenever I buy the game I don't get the updates through out the season, because I don't have an xbox Live so the ratings don't change automatically for me. :)

We get it, their rating is very shit. But they change those ratings over time. And they're only getting better and better at ratings.

That shouldn't be so. The winter transfer update should be allowed to be installed even offline. The winter transfer update is when the rating changes.
