Poor, shocking, & embarrassing performance from Madrid! What the f*ck was that? What is wrong with them? Just a couple of months ago they were the best team in the world and now... so embarrassing. Madrid has to work on their mentality. This is the same like Dortmund last year. Madrid thinks a first leg win is enough and then sit back for the second leg. I'm expecting Madrid to sort themselves out unless they don't want to win the UCL. Come on Madrid! I know you're better than that!

Carvajal is the only RB Madrid has that is worth a damn. He still has some work to do defensively but at least he is fast enough to get back and pressure people. Arbeloa disappoints me more every game, losing the ball when he has it and watching Schalke players pass him by all game. Coentrao is decent in attack but then can't get back to defend.

Yup Ramos is the backbone of Madrids defense, and a huge threat on corners, we desperately need him back. Still the players on the pitch have to do their part, we are playing horribly defensively and up top we are giving the ball away almost immediately. The only consistent player has been Isco, who distributes the ball wonderfully only to have the players he gives it to lose it.

Away goal rule only applies when the aggregate score is even. In the case of madrid they beat Schalke 2-0 in 1st leg and lost 3-4 to schalke in 2nd leg. Aggregate score was 5-4. Madrid qualifies automatically since they have have more goals in total. Had it been it was 5-5 (for example), whoever has more away goals qualifies.

no because amount of goals by both teams aren't equal, 5:4 for real if it was 5:5 and shalke won 5:3 instead then it would have been on away goals. if score for both matches are 3:2 and they each one there respective matches then it would have been penalties.

Casillas might have failed for the 1st, and he could've punched the ball better for the 2nd but there are loads of goals like that, it's not easy to punch the ball after a shot like that.. also he saved Madrid with 2 big saves

Did you watch the game? Benzema scored a goal but he put on a horrible performance he gave the ball away on 80% of his possessions. Ronaldo scored twice but besides that didn't do anything else, no crosses, nothing. I will agree with you that the defense and Bale were poor but the midfield was the only decent thing in the game they were distributing the ball well.
