Im a barca fan and i think that Pique is no longer a quality player at least not for a team like FC Barcelona, Barca cant win champions with him as a CB anymore, and another thing is that Valverde doesnt have the balls to substitute Suarez

that wasn't a red card, he clearly won the ball and then got kick, i doubt the elbow was intentional

Wow It's unreal that Madridistas invading this match highlight just to down-vote anything or anyone who's trying to defend Lenglet and up-vote anything that filled with hatred towards Barcelona.

Yea agreed it's a red. It's stupid of him to do that. There's no reason for it.

Okay its red. But Ramos should see red in every 2nd Game at least! He is the dirtiest player in La Liga!

I think that red card was justified let's be honest, if you are running in that direction there is no way your elbow can just fly out like that, another thing i would say justified the red card also was the DIVE after, I could forgive the elbow and say a yellow, but then he went to ground holding his leg, why do that??, because he did something wrong and that's just fact.

don't understand how we play our best game of the year against psv. with coutinho, dembel, messi and suarez creating some brilliant play. i really don't think lenglets elbow was intentional. we saw a similar play with malcom elbowing messi in 16/17 season clasico. it was lenglets first start and i don't think he had any intentions of ruining his first chance to play 90 minutes by getting a red card. i was impressed with barca coming back from a goal deficit after girona pretty much parked the bus. ref kinda ruined this game, but thats a biased opinion.

FellipeFigo 8 years ago

Real Madrid, USA 0 77

it was surely intentional

ubibyte 8 years ago

Can't argue on this one. That is a red card, his intention was to hurt the player. Your arm won't naturally do that motion.

Sabiol 8 years ago

Argentina 0 646

that the thing. in my humble opinion dont looks intentonal because both players were falling after the challenge...

The first girona goals is exactly the reason why pique and busquets arent good defensively. I mean even good defenders can have a bad moment or whatever, but i just hate it when people call pique a top 10 defender or busquets a top 5 CDM. He is a good passer with great vision but man his defensive output is almost non existent

So the manager dropped Samuel Umtiti because???? Barca really lacks defending, its there weakest point

Rotation? Keep players fresh all the way to may? Big teams got too many games overall. Just a guess.

ItsCmi 8 years ago

Chelsea 0 759

They need better defenders overall, that's one thing they lack

Ok red card a bit harsh but then again, Lenglet's arm movement seemed very unnatural so you can see why the ref might see it as intentional. But there deff should have been more than 3 minutes added time due to all the timewasting, and then 2 fouls on Messi and Busquets should have either been pens or free kick on edge of the box (both were on the edge of the box so can't tell if it was pen or freekick, but deff a foul)

Hottinho 8 years ago

0 272

Dude, harsh??? You can't be serious? That blow with the elbow sideways to the head is horrible and can break a jaw multiple times (believe me, I've seen it just like this!). That should be a red card in every sensible universe.
