Angerer continues to impress as an inspirational captain and a penalty stopper. She is also gifted with good reflexes. But I feel sorry for Lavogez (she impressed so much last year in the u-20 youth tournament and deservedly got called up into the national team).....Getting to the final and lifting up the cup would have been beyond her wildest dreams.

France deserved to win this game, they played better throughout. But kudos to Germany, they scored their pens.

France really deserved to win this match, we had so much occasions (especially Necib at the very begining and Thiney during extra time) whereas I was expecting way more from Germany who didn't play but were only defending during the major part of the game... Too bad it had to go to the penalties cause we were better and because of the severe penalty against us... Very disappointed, to me France was the better team with the most beautiful football in this World Cup but well in the end Germany won...

Totally undeserved win, but France missed too many opportunities that could have saved them despite the terrible ref.

***TRUE***"football is 90 minutes game...where at the end germans always wins "

that hand ball wasnt intentional. it looks like the refs dont consider that at all in this worldcup. sad france lost but better for USA tho cos french players were really good and quick

Too bad France lost, they were the best side to watch in the tournament, playing very quick and inspired. The penalty call in favour of the Germans was very severe. The French player had her arm close to the body and oriented backwards. The referee failed to see the exact same thing in the German penalty area in the first half. Anyway, bad decision from French manager to take Thomis out, the team lost too much of their attacking power and left an open field to the Germans.

This is the first time I saw a referee in overweight that's why she made lot of mistakes in the game.
