I enjoyed watching the women's world cup. Even though there's a big athlectic and technical difference with the men's game, the girls' fairplay, their respect for the referees and the opponents was a refreshing contrast.

People always vote for Alex Morgan (I'm not saying they're wrong, or that she isn't the best striker), followed by Rapinoe, but I wonder why is it that they overlook Rose Lavelle so often?! I mean, aside Morgan, before this WC, I didn't know the other US players. But watching them regularly on this tournament, I'd grown enormous respect for Lavelle! Especially she was outstanding in the match against England!
Anyways, Bravo for the USA, they are really (by far) the best team of the tournament, and the team with the biggest advancement and potential, was undoubtedly Italy (who practically didn't even had a female football squad till a few years ago, just as the Italian/European giants & legendary teams, like Milan, Juventus, Inter, Roma, Napoli... started their own teams this decade).

Well done US champions ! Unrivaled since the start of women's soccer, even though this golden generation might come to an end. They were pretty average in the quality of the play, tells you also about the state of other European teams.
European football federations should invest much harder into women so we can seriously rival the USA one day
