It's not backwards, last year's semifinal, England - Croatia was watched by 26.5m people. The final was watched by 516m people and the whole tournament was watched by more than 3 billion people. I don't think the women's world cup will reach anywhere near those figures. And salary is earned in club football, and I don't want to know what the figures are there so... Not really backward thoughts if you ask me.

I was born in Europe but consider myself an American. Never say we don't have the right culture for anything! If we set our sights on something we will blow the rest of the world out of the water.
