It's not backwards, last year's semifinal, England - Croatia was watched by 26.5m people. The final was watched by 516m people and the whole tournament was watched by more than 3 billion people. I don't think the women's world cup will reach anywhere near those figures. And salary is earned in club football, and I don't want to know what the figures are there so...
