What is going on with Barcelona?

Same question but without all the trolling. A good question got ruined by some immature people (more or less person) who wanted to be an attention wh*re.

I feel like Barcelona has somewhat lost motivation and they have started to play leisurely have once had a 9 point advantage on Real Madrid. With 5 consecutive winless La Liga games, something has happened to the team. The La Liga race is up for grabs by anyone now.

Barca's problem is the same as it has been all season. If MSN have an off day, the rest of the team has a hard time compensating, especially the defence. What's happening now is the same as what happened back when the season began before Neymar and Suarez went on terrific runs of form.

I just think the players and maybe the managing are starting to feel things are too easy and not taking it seriously. Now that we are level with Atletico I hope the players can start putting 100% in.

It is clearly what SunFlash said.

When MSN is off a CDM and a mediocre CB won't be able to help the keeper get a clean sheet.

Whats happening to Barça is what Happened to Ancelotti's Madrid last year, a game each 3 days, lack of depth and useless undefeated record. The international break was the start of a bad cycle. A win can turn things arround, Deportivo's game is a must win...

Looking to things with a different angle, still first of the league and on the way to lift the copa hopefully, eleminated by a strong Atletico things looks much worse than the actual situation.

Im only annoyed by Messi and Neymar atitude, and well Piqué is a liability, the Spanish David Luiz, able of miracles and the opposite is also true.

Barcelona lost because they did not score more goals than Valencia and Atletico . They are in bad form because they are loosing . They will get better when they stop loosing matches and start scoring more goals than their opponents .

Barca is lopsided in offense. A number of their games are won by pinning the opponents with their backs against the wall through MSN. The offensive threat they possess also hinder teams' willingness to attack Barca due to the possibility of a deadly counter-attack on the other end. So when teams figure out how to stop the magnificent trio, or they have an off-day, Barca cannot win. Their midfield is quite good but their defense is, frankly, pretty vulnerable. It just so happens that the right teams managed to face Barcelona in a series of fixtures that have rendered this Barcelona team exposed and devoid of confidence.

This whole fotball is fixed today. From Leagues accros europe to Cl. We can think its the magic of the game but its all about the money and the people controling it.

Despite the 8 0 winning, Barca biggest prob is as everyone here pointed out. The rotation, the depth, and the ridiculous defend.

When MSN is off form, or indirectly when their mid doesnt creat enough pressure and free up space for their MSN, everything is ruined. They cant just score out of no where game after game, especially against the other elites.

Its like a body, a strong head isnt good enough, you still need thr whole body

One another important factor that not much people seem to acknowledge is the heavy schedule came at the worst timing with the international break in which their main threat had to travel ALOT LOT more than others. That exshausted their body and in crucial tough games like these, it matters much more than we think.

To be fair, its very similar to the EPL xmas period and despite liking to see those games, its bad for the teams internationally. In case of Barca this time, its just a little worse

If Deportivo equalized, and they got plenty of ocasions before the 0-2, the game would have been much more complicated...They just gave on after the 0-3 you cant expect to get a result vs MSN if you dont score your chances.
The final result of Deportivo's game hide the fact that Barça remains vulnerable defensively, last year Barça could suffer long minutes without the ball and still keep a clean sheet and hit on counters. Atm they just cant.
That being said to win CL you need to be lucky and got noapparent weakness, to win the league consistency is key, 4 games to go.

I thought it was always evident after Puyol left and during his decline that Barcelona's defense became fragile . Converting Mascherano into defender and playing him along side incompetent Pique .. come on wtf were they thinking . I am not saying I would have done better managing but i think it was obvious that Pique is not Barcelona material and Mascheranno should not be there neither . Then they brought Matheiu ..

They splash millions and millions on attacking players and midfielders but can't buy two world class center backs ? Also why is Dani Alves still playing ?

Modern football team is build from Goalkeeper then Defense then Midfield then Attacking . Atletico is perfect example ! As soon as they lost Courtois they went and got Oblak ! Defenders they always have back up .

Oh also reason why Barcelona won today was because they scored 8 goals and Deportivo zero !

Well, just like SunFlash had said, since MSN had a good day today (mainly Suarez), Barcelona as a whole had a good game and they won. Barcelona clearly rely on their front three.

Suarez and Messi in particular are capital for the team, each time those two have a bad day, everybody have one.
