So we have a final between two huge city rivals!
It's been boring on the forum lately so heated arguments are welcome. Special invitations for Lodatz and tiki_taka!

Let the discussion begin!

So I think it will be a tight game with not many goals and real having like 75% possesion. Atletico on the counter attack might get one goal tho.

Real Madrid beat Wolfsburg and Man City, Atletico beat Barca and Bayern. I'll be so upset if Atletico doesn't win..

It should be a great game, but I'm kind of expecting Athletico to win. Two years ago, Real was better than they are now, and Athletico was worse. That speaks to me.

Two years ago, Costa and Villa lead the line for Athletico. Now, it's Griezmann and Torres. Totally different way of offensive attack, and one I think is better suited to break down Real's defence. With Carvajal and Marcelo being so attack-minded, Casemiro simply must be in the side to contain the counter. If he is not, then Ramos and Pepe will have to find another level.

Atletico Madrid is favorite.I think they'll win it.
1-0 for Atletico or maybe 1-1. The only chance, for real madrid to win it,is in extra time or penalties.

Like I said in the preview for city real game, I want Atletico v Real Madrid in the final and I want Atletico to win this time. Say what you want about their tactics, but I love how Atletico are playing and Simeone is a goddamn genius in my books.

He gets the job done and he deserve to win the Champions League.

I agree with lio, most propably gonna be a tight game, I hope they stay 0-0 for a while to force Atletico to be on the offense the longer possible because the sooner they'll park the bus, the longer they'll have to endure a though onslaught. I also think Atletico will have the advantage but they will need to be very prudent to not take too many card too quickly.

Really boring comment from me but it will be tough game for Real if you consider the trouble Real have had against them since 2013. Griezmann is ridiculously great and I am hoping that he wouldn't get injured before the Final. Will be interesting to see will Real play Casemiro-Modric or Modric-Kroos.

If I was Real, I'd play

----------Benzema-----
Cristiano-Kroos-Bale
--------Caz---Modric----

I would deploy a midfield pairing of Modric and Isco pulling the strings in front of Casemiro. These small agile players seem to do better against Atletico more often than not.

@decentK: The trouble Real's had with Atletico since 2013? La Liga results aside, isn't Real Madrid basically the only team that has been able to kick Atletico out of CL for two seasons running now?

In 2014, Real did it in the final. Last year, Real did it in the 1/4 finals.

Say what you will, I firmly believe Real will beat them to claim their 11th title.

If all our players are fit and Zidane picks the proper lineup of Miro-Luka-Isco, then we should have a very good chance of winning. I also expect Atletico to lose 1-0 or 2-1 to Real.

As Roma - Wolfsburg - City.... Real Madrid has finally a decent rival, in two legs Atletico would have won for sure, now it's a one game deciding trophy, could be played on a corner or free kick so hard to give prediction.
Hope Atleti deny the 6 th big ear trophy for Madrid.

Real favorites in my opinion with a small margin. Expecting this to be one of the more boring CL finals. Atletico got among the best defenses in the world.. 1-0 to Real..

Yeah whatever... UCL results: 0-0, 1-0 and 1-1 after 90mins. And don't just "put La Liga results aside" like they don't matter. How many times have Real beaten Atleti in La Liga for the past 3 seasons (6 occasions)

ZERO. And you're like Atleti are walk in the park. Aight, whatever you like.

Hopefully Atleti can complete the final hurdle this time. Simeone and his men deserve it.

@KTB Imagine that, Barca win Copa Del Rey, Real win La Liga and Atletico win CL. That would be epic.
