Chicharito wouldn't be able to replace Soldado, and Soldado wouldn't be able to replace Suarez. So why doesn't everyone just stay put at their current club :D

#1: Finally.

#2: I doubt it.

#3: This transfer is one to take notice of heavily! Veratti is one of the brightest talents in Europe and Napoli signing him would turn them to serious title contenders for the Serie A!

#4: Interesting one but what is his preferred position over at Lille? I believe he wants to play upfront as a striker.

#5: Not worth it if Valencia want 30 million euros for Soldado.

#6: I can't believe no one is going for Capoue, and he is going on the cheap and is a great fit for many teams! But it seems he is destined for Cardiff because Toulouse accepted a bid for him...

#7: Lord knows what Roma see in Gervinho...

#8: That would be a bargain if they get Osvaldo for 8.6 million, but he does have some attitude issues.

#13: This would be in the ridiculous section.

#14: Wouldn't it be hilarious if the only buy Wenger makes this summer is Williams?

#15: Bale is staying, end of story.

#16: Sure, if they can find someone who buys Soldado for 30 mill.

#18: We haven't made a second bid yet, confirmed by Mourinho.

#19: Awesome!

#20: Read my answer on #15. Also, Marca are extremely unreliable.

Bale should stay in the EPL at least 2 more years and try to qualify for Champions league next season. Because it will be such a blow for Spurs if Bale leaves. I don't think Spurs are ready to let Bale go at the moment. No wonder they want to double his salary in order to prevent him from joining Real Madrid.

PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT: For those who are unaware, a good rule of thumb is to ignore anything written by q source containting the word "DAILY" as they make up the vast majority of the ridiculous section.
That is all.

Bale should wait a while before making his move to Madrid. He needs to establish himself firmly as the EPL's best player before he leaves, like Ronaldo did. I'm sorry Gareth, but I find last seasons Player of the Year to be a bit biased, because I feel that Suarez, RVP, and Mata had an equal or higher claim on the prize than you. It's just quite simple. He's obviously not going to be the main attacking force at Madrid, so he has to learn to do the best he can with the ball in a limited amount of time. The best way for him to do this is to be the big shot in the EPL, which will make defenders mark him more seriously, and it'll teach him how to make small but efficient moves with the ball to help his team win. Then, moving to Madrid will seem like a better bargain on his career.

But be warned Gareth. All that go to Madrid don't succeed. I think in his mind, Bale thinks he can be like Ronaldo at Madrid just because he plays like Ronaldo. But what he doesn't realize is that many other very good players did fail to live up to their price tag at Madrid (Figo, Beckham, Kaka). Ronaldo has set the bar very high for living up to your price tag, and if Gareth is to follow in his footsteps, he needs to be careful he doesn't stumble off the path.

@Dynastian Bale already proved that he is one of the best players in the EPL nothing more to prove but Spurs need him more than Real Madrid at the moment. The only thing that bothers Bale is that Spurs couldn't qualify for CL next season so hopefully he will have some patience and help his team to reach this goal rather than going to another league. It's weird saying that as a Chelsea supporter but I totally enjoy watching him play in the EPL he is a great player.

^I completely disagree. #1-Dynastian was correct, CR7 was the best player in the prem when he left to Madrid. #2-He does still have a lot to prove. he has been good for a while but this was the season where he made that jump to "great". He needs to demonstrate a consistency of that high standard to justify the price and hype of a player in the WC standing. One sparrow does not, a summer make.

In addition, he'd be foolish to leave now. Im sure he realizes that theres a guy called Ronaldo that plays in his position. So why would he choose to go now (and indeed, why would Madrid want him now)? Lastly I think he knows he needs to hone parts of his game before he can be confident of being a star in a team like RM or in a different country.

"He needs to demonstrate a consistency of that high standard to justify the price and hype of a player in the WC standing."

You don't think that he did that, this season?

I mean, think about this. Really think about it. Where was Bale playing, prior to the middle of this season? He was out on the wing, feeding balls through to Defoe and Adebayor. Under Redknapp, that was precisely where the boss wanted him to be, and where it made sense. His goal ratio out on the left wing was respectable, but nothing to write home about, but his assists were one of the highest in the league.

Then, around the December-mark last season, AVB agrees to try him in a more central, striking role, and... BOOM.

That's why when people say "he only showed up for half the season", they're frankly talking rubbish. He was only played as a striker for half the season, and just look at what he did with it.

I'm not trying to talk up him moving to Madrid, obviously, and Marca are as reliable as a comic book, but his awards last season were totally justified, for both his quality, impact upon the league, importance to team, and general conduct as a player/person.

Madrid would be lucky to have him, which is why the rumours simply WILL NOT DIE, even though there is literally sod all to them. Hopefully we'll keep him for a couple more seasons, and even more hopefully, by that point a move away from Spurs will seem like a step down... :D

Additional: if you think that Ronaldo is playing in the same position as Bale, then I have to wonder what season you were watching earlier in the year. ;)

There is really no point in arguing about "Proving himself" We all seen him play at least I did since he joined Tottenham and he is not just a great player but he is already a hero to them. Also Bale is capable of playing in any position on the pitch. :)
