So, the international break is over and what better way to celebrate the return of the league game than with a match between two giant. I'm talking about the El Classico, Barcelona vs Real Madrid. How do you feel about that game?

@Dynastian Yeah, I'm not really suprised by your reaction, Barca are looking so good right now, but you know, this might be Real best chance yet, Barcelona last match was a draw and they just got back together recently. Don't give up too fast even if the odd are against you! ;)

Real to win 2-1, as said in prediction thread.

Never have I ever seen as little talk before Clasico as this week. Haven't seen anything at all.

That last classico left a bad taste in my mouth to be honest. Just like Dynastian, not really excited about this one.

I had a dream that we'll tie wit barca, so if we do, you heard it hear first!

Madrid are obliged to give it all, plus they dont really have to think about Wolfsburg game, and actually they will do everything to erase first leg result, crucial game for the Board and players...
At the other hand, I cant imagine Barca taking it easy, but its not as crucial for them as Madrid, a draw and no injuries could be more than enough to prépare Atletico's game, I cant see How they could loose the league no matter the result, against Arsenal in the second leg they just controled the game, and I think its better to save the super sayan mode to the Cl game even of they loose.
Winning the clasico and ending up exhausted before the quarters would be unnecessary, I see Madrid getting a result here or à short lead for Barca.

Some Stats before the game :
Ronaldo scored 3 times in the last 4 clasico's, his best run.
Barca never defeated Madrid having 10 points gap or more.
Messi can score his 500th official goal, and his 450th for Barca.
Keylor Navas is the keeper that have made the most saves in Europe ( top 5 leagues )

@Tiki

Nah, Ronaldo's best run was scoring 7 goals in 6 straight Clasicos back in 2013 when he was a freak of nature. I remember because he broke the streak in the 2-1 win at the Bernabeu where he came on as a sub and won a corner which led to the winning goal by Ramos.

Barcelona can literally lose this game and still have almost no effect on the title race. They are so much better than Real and Atletico that it's scary. And it's not even like the Madrid teams are bad - they are among the Top 5-6 in the world.

I agree with you there, Barcelona is just getting ridiculously overpower when compared to other team. I hope this is just an temporary thing though, I wouldn't want the la liga to lose some of its interest by alway being won by a single team.

@Emobot

Don't worry, teams that good usually don't last longer than 2-3 years. Barcelona is literally all MSN right now. The moment any one of them gets slapped by an injury or Messi ages a bit they will never be as offensively potent as they are right now. We must not forget that Barcelona's defense is quite weak. Many teams have exposed that this season. It is their offense which protects their defense by forcing teams to play deep in order to compensate. When teams attack Barcelona, they have been proven to score many goals. The only problem is that MSN will likely just outscore you...

Oh right dynast about Ronaldo but still its a good stat. For the league Interest we cant wish a team to loose form and then say that the league is more competitive, strenght and competitivity are 2 close définitions. I expect Madrid teams to catch up Barca level and to play the season of their life like in 2012 for Madrid and 2014 for Atletico.
Cl has been only a 3 horses race with one or two outsiders a year and yet it stays the most competitive competition in Europe, to win the league in Spain at the moment being good is just not enough but you know That helps teams to fight back and get stronger Next season.

It's not elclassico if Ramos isn't sent off. Seriously, WTH was he thinking there? He had the support of 3 defenders. All he had to do was stand right behind the Suarez (?). Thing is, he puts himself in serious trouble the first 20 mins of the game, then he frickin loses his brains and goes bananas

Although I love the guy, he was and will always be an idiot.

Well, what do you know, I sure wasn't expecting that, but hey, it was a pretty good game. I'm happy with the results, since I think they deserved it.

@Madridista11 Yeah, gotta agree with you there. Ramos is awesome... but stupid, in a good way.

In each of his fouls the player he fouled was going straight to Navas, someone had to do it anyway i wouldnt call him idiot everyteam needs at least one of this kind of players in their team. Im not blaming him but ref, stupid calls on both sides. Congrats anyway.

What excuse do you give him for this? I get what you mean, but you gotta use your head my man! Suarez was surrounded, no way out for him. Sergio is a great defender but his football IQ is below average at times
