But pointing out the wrongdoers is how we set upon the path of resolving an issue. United fans kept pointing out to Ashley Young that they didn't appreciate his diving. And guess what? He cut it down. Wanna know the reason Barcelona has this reputation of being full of divers and cheaters? Because their fans tolerate it. The manager tolerates it.
Pointing out single events and claiming the only reason they got to the CL final was because of that is absurd.
Even when the single red card changed the flow of the entire tie in Barcelona's favor? Absolutely ridiculous. Of course it's the reason they made the Champions League final. We had them penned back until then. Their chances of making the final would have been much slimmer if we didn't receive that complete BS red card.
But it's like claiming Manchester United didn't deserve the 2007 (I think) cl because Ronaldo was a big diver and I'm sure you can find multiple videos of him diving to get advantages.
Sure, that's true. But which one was so significantly game-changing that it turned the tides in United's favor when they were sure to lose the game? None. Nowhere near the level of Alves' cheating.
You seem to be much more tolerant of diving than I am. Maybe it's because you're from the Latino culture of football where this is very common. I grew up watching the Bundesliga and Serie A more than La Liga so I absolutely hate this kind of thing. You would hardly ever see it in the German or Italian teams back then. That's how success should be gained. Through fair play. If you lose, you lose. Toughen up for the next match. There is no honor in cheating to victory (such as Dani Alves in 2011 or what Alba attempted to do yesterday).
So, the international break is over and what better way to celebrate the return of the league game than with a match between two giant. I'm talking about the El Classico, Barcelona vs Real Madrid. How do you feel about that game?
