^ Hah! Seriously? Any source?
^Long time no see! Where have you been?
Hey, V! :) Good to be home. Been on a 4 week vacation in Cannes and Monaco (ironic, isn't it, the latter almost buying my favorite club). Barely been on the internet, and I see there's a lot going on in the football world!
Welcome back, Golden. :)
And yeah, I've seen the Postiga link splashed around the 'net for the last week or so, too. An ex-Spurs man to replace our new one, eh?
Thanks, Lod. ;)
Exactly! But I have to say, Postiga wasn't the largest of successes at Spurs, I'm sure you remember... Though, he scored a lot of goals for Zaragoza last season, ending among top 10 goalscorers in La Liga. Let's hope he continues like that for Valencia.
And I bet you're happy with you guys finally getting a striker who has shown he can roll in the goals? Also, I've seen a lot of rumors around Coentrão to Spurs, what do you think of that?
POSTIGA is the replacement for Valdez, the president have stated that himself too
Well, for Coentrao to Spurs, I'm disappointed myself. I heard that Coentrao is unhappy due to the treatment he received from the Madrid management, and due to the lack of support he gets from fans. Ronaldo tried to notify Perez about this through the media, but Perez blatantly ignored it. So Coentrao is rightfully wanting to leave, and I am disappointed in my own club for treating him like this. He doesn't have the attacking flair that we get from Marcelo, but he's much better defensively. He saves our asses plenty of times. Too much for us to let him go so easily.
If he does go to Spurs, I wish him all the best, and hopefully he won't get similar treatment in London (I doubt he'll face these problems again). But losing him can be costly for Madrid. Our left flank will return to being out weakest point, as neither Ronaldo nor Marcelo are too enthusiastic on defending. If Carlo can change that, I'll be more than satisfied. We solved our RB problem perfectly with Carvajal, but LB will be a big issue if Coentrao is sold.
Interesting. Apparently Soldado feels that Salvo had been dishonest with him, and wanted to leave because those lies.
@Dynast: I cannot say that I see Spurs actually going in for Coentrao. It was milled about early in the window as a possible rumour, but as far as I know there was nothing ever to it really.
Yea, @Lodatz, that's what I'm hoping. I want Fabio to stay.
I agree 100% with Soldado. Valencia are going downhill and fast. 12M up front is absolutely ridiculous to me. With that we can get no proper replacement for our main threat. I cannot believe the club is going this low. If we finish 5th next season it will be a miracle. Roberto was smart to leave and I hope he succeed with spurs. All they needed was a consistent goal threat. Still love you Soldado :(
Soldado: “Salvo lied to me, that’s why I’m leaving”
The striker blasted Amedeo Salvo saying that he made his mind up to leave after his meeting with the Valencia President.
Just moments before taking a flight from Manises airport to London, Roberto Soldado took a parting shot at Valencia President, Amedeo Salvo whose hard-line economic stance almost scuppered his 30 million euro move to Tottenham Hotspur.
“I’m leaving Valencia because I do not believe in, nor do I trust their sporting project. Right from the first moment I spoke to the President, I had made my mind up to go. Salvo lied to me many times, and that hurt me and my agents, who are like family to me. The newspapers have published malicious untruths which were filtered to the press by him. I don’t like the way he deals with things; I really hope he proves me wrong and starts a new successful era at the club,” Soldado said.
The striker has never had faith in Valencia’s policy of selling their top players to ease their economic troubles but said he hopes that the 30 million euro windfall from his sale will benefit his former club. He continued, “I think the deal is good for both clubs. I would like to say sorry to the fans for failing to complete my contract. I would have liked to have ended my playing days here but I was confronted with a hurdle which made me think again. I wish Valencia all the very best”.
Soldado was asked his opinion on Gareth Bale’s potential switch to his old club, Real Madrid but only expressed his hopes to be playing together with the Welshman in the Premier League. “He’s a great player and that’s why Tottenham are making it so difficult for him to leave. Of course, I hope that he stays with Spurs”.
as a matter of fact Salvo didnt lie, Soldados agent lied...
^^ I somehow think that Soldado has a better grasp of the facts than you.
I doubt. knibis has all the inside scoop.
read Superdeporte, thats right stop talking.
ofc you have to believe Soldado just from a statement but its much more complicated than that.. Your ignorance shines bright
its easy to call me a fool when you dont know
Stop being such Queens everybody.
"read Superdeporte, thats right stop talking. "
Provide something to be impressed by. You (or someone at your precious site) have concocted it just because it makes you feel better. Personally, yes, I absolutely trust the EXPLICIT WORDS OF THE PLAYER HIMSELF over the opinions of some little twat from Sweden who cannot even find a Swedish team to support.
Stop being bitter. Don't think I didn't catch that comment about Spurs being 'filthy', and 'wishing them the worst' before it was removed by a mod.
Just stop talking shi.t. Please. We're fed up of you.
@Lodatz: 'over the opinions of some little twat from Sweden who cannot even find a Swedish team to support'.. so you're basically saying that you can't support a foreign team ?
Gotta love Levy.
Spends 30 m on a player. Makes him travel via Ryanair.

Tottenham Hotspurs technical director met with Toldrá and Salvo. The English club are willing to pay the amount demanded.
Hotspur player as of Tuesday after a day of intense meetings that left Valencia and the English club on the point of a finalised deal. Tottenham Hotspur technical director Franco Baldini arrived in Valencia in the morning and met the players agent, Alberto Toldrá, before sitting down with Valencia president Amadeo Salvo.
Tottenham are yet to offer the full 30 million buy-out clause, but are very close (sources say 26 million plus variables) that nobody is any doubt that they will get there eventually. Valencia will approve the sale at a board meeting on Tuesday, which was organised before the transfer situation arose but will deal with the matter. The player is likely to earn around 3.5 million euros a year.
-The two clubs have spoken and Valencia made it clear that they wanted 30 milllion euros-, said Salvo. -Tottenhams mission is to get the player as cheaply as possible, while ours is to receive 30 million. Theres not much room for manouevre. For a deal to take place two things have to happen: the player has to want to go and they need to pay what Valencia demand. The board will study the situation-, he said.
Pretty expensive IMO whats your impressions ??
