Faults:

Ronaldo

1. Lashing out his leg. Shouldn't have done that. You have a higher chance of winning if you STAY IN THE GAME.

Gabi

1. Took out Ronaldo from behind in the first place. Should've been a yellow for Gabi AND Ronaldo.

2. Anyone notice how Gabi flies two feet into the air? I mean, I understand you've been hit in the nose and it is bleeding, but how on Earth do you make it look like you've been shot in the back? Unbelievable. Looks like Simeone teaches more than just tactics, if you know what I mean (hint hint David Beckham).

It was quite tough to judge for the referee with the angle that he had. Also, Ronaldo was already on a yellow card right, those two things must have played on the referee's mind.

Ronaldo was pissed of that his team still haven't scored after all their occasions, one he was on the floor he just decided to release everything and kick the player on the face. Wether he missed him or not, it's an obvious red to try to kick someone in the face in the middle of a match -.-

Maybe Gabi exagerated too. Shouldn't have been a red. Yellow should be enough to calm down Ronaldo. When you don't know how to judge correctly stay home.

Ronaldo SHOULD'VE been on (at least) a yellow for two flagrant off the ball kicks at Atletico players; somehow that card-happy ref missed those. He wasn't on a yellow; it was called for a straight red. I'm not certain that it should have been a red card, but he was just being his usual petulant self. What an asshole.

I just watched it three hours ago, and remember being surprised he wasn't called for a yellow. But there were so many yellows: that ref was awful. But your chart seems to show straight red, too. Either way, he was off :)

yellow card for me. I mean, Ronaldo barely made any frickin contact. But I guess it's a yellow because these days those challenges are deemed as harmful.
