Thibaut Courtois injury needs surgery - Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho

Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has confirmed Thibaut Courtois requires surgery on a knee injury and will be out for "quite a long time."

There have been mixed reports on how long goalkeeper Courtois will be sidelined after he sustained the problem upon his return to training with Chelsea following the international break.

Mourinho said at a news conference on Friday: **"Courtois was injured in a training session with the goalkeepers and I cannot tell you much, but I can tell you that he needs surgery in his right knee.

"As a consequence of that he will be out for quite a long time. I cannot be at this moment more specific about the injury or the time he will be out."**

We've got all the bad luck since the start of the season, hopefully we will cope with this tough time and keep going forward.. Luckily We still have Begović.. I wish Cech stayed one more season...Some sources said that it will take 2 to 4 month for him to recover...

Well, I wish Chelsea fans the best of luck cause honestly 2-4 months is pretty dang long. Plus With the Champions league coming up you guys better wish Begovic works his ass cause you guys need it really good

Things just get better and better for Chelsea this season. It will be interesting to see how this season finishes with Chelsea's reoccurring problems so far.

I don't think goalie is our biggest problem , although now that Courtois is out , defenders will have less confidence in their goalie which result in more problems . World class goalkeeper is very essential to harmony at the back .

Well, Begovic has actually been outstanding so far, so we'll see how that will go.

Glad that De Gea stayed. We witnessed the best of GKs in the Premier League in Petr Cech and Van Der Sar, it was a wonderful rivalry between them, they both were the best. Hopefully De Gea and Courtois will do the same.

Well... This is surely not our year. Time to do a 2012 scenario.. Win the FA Cup and the CL.... I want to cry. We are playing soooooooo poorly! The defense (Ivanovic) is yet to be dropped after all those defending errors that caused us conceding an unnecessary goals with a terrible terrible decisions by him. I don't know what is going on... This team need to wake the hell up before it's too late!

Facts:

• We have never had this bad start of the season since 1964…
• We have lost this season so far as much as the entire last year’s season…
• The last time we’ve played this bad we ended up 6th on table but won the CL and the FA Cup. (If we are lucky enough and worked hard enough and believe..)

Someone needs to get on the field and slap Mourinho back to senses then drag Ivanovic out the field back on the bench ! Then comeback and slap again Fabregas for not tracking properly ... and i guess every player should get a damn slap except Pedro . This guy just trying to realize wtf is going on .
