What do you see as the most fierce in european football?
Would be interesting to see what people perceive as the most intense rivalry in Europe.
Concider things like atmosphere and pure dislike of eachother not just sporting issues.

Camp Nou and Bernabeu have one of the best atmospheres in Europe.

is this is a direct insult to almost everyone in this football community? YOU can meet passionate foreign fans from other communities but we're all bad fans because we don't kill people for a football game.
?

OR
your English isn't competent enough to convey the message you're trying to send.
"i should keep in mind since the majority of you aren't from the areas these clubs are based you'll never understand what the rivalry means." This implies that all fans not from the area of the club will never understand rivalries. Then you go on to contradict it by saying that you've met people from different countries that DO understand the rivalries.

@Dynastian Can you please tell me how El Clasico is a intense rivalry when it has never come close to this atmosphere
for even 1 second? The fans make the rivalry not the football. You can clearly see how much it means to the supporters while in an El Clasico there is no passion whatsoever.

AS OF NOW: @DEPHASED IS THE ONLY ONE WHO THINKS EL CLASICO IS NOT A FIERCE RIVALRY. EVERY ONE ELSE WHO HAS COMMENTED ON THIS THREAD AGREES THAT EL CLASSICO IS THE MOST FIERSEST RIVALRY. SO THE ONLY THING THAT @DEFUC*** PROVED IS THAT HIS NAME IS TRUE

Have a nice day

@zakzook Im not gonna bother answer you anymore read my previous posts clearly and you'll understand what i mean. And by the way, my english is better than most on here.

@Tiki Oh please, that isn't atmosphere. Staged singing before a game and even then not making as much noise as Palace fans in a stadium that holds 30k, Camp Nou holds close to a hundred. And Ultras Sur is a ultras group, I'm talking about the general fan. Except for their stand, the whole stadium is quiet.

^ I don't. I just don't agree with his statement that El Classico is not even close to being a fierce rivalry.

@Soccerboss Well the ones who have commented on this thread doesn't represent how everybody from around the world with a little bit of knowledge of this topic feels about it. Most people including me thinks its a great match to watch but its fact that it isn't a fierce rivalry.

If you seriously think that El clasico comes close to Rangers - Celtic, Roma - Lazio, Partisan - Red Star, The Krakow derby, West Ham - Millwall, Hajduk Split - Dinamo Zagreb and Fenerbahce - Galatasaray and several others you're just deluded.

Guys I think this kind of situations are better than any rivalry and any other football things.

In this video : We are and Karşıyaka fans applause eachother

And this video is the best : Karşıyaka (Our brother club) and Fethiyespor Fans in a football match. Karşıyaka fans cheering welcome to Fethiye fans and then they are singing together.

the best starts from 2:23

Now this is the best football !

Those clubs have friendly relations, something which is great as well. But football is nothing without rivalry.

@Soccerboss, I actually commented saying that I don't think El Clásico is the fiercest rivalry. maybe once upon a time it was, but nowadays I would say otherwise.

One of the FIERCEST rivalries to date is Boca Juniors vs. River Plate. Absolute pandemonium.

@iKoiko Spot on. One of my biggest goals is to watch Boca vs River Plate at the Bombanera. Absolute cracking atmosphere.

@ikoiko - Yes I agree about Boca Juniors vs. River Plate. I always wanted to watch that match in stadium. But it's not in Europe :)

@Dephased of course football is nothing without rivalry but in Turkey I always wish there could be no rivalry because here in rivalry matches we lose ourselves. For example last year we fought with Bursaspor fans in the streets. This is a good thing? of course not but sometimes it can end badly.

west ham vs millwall is one of the worst ones....the fans are so passionate about their clubs that people get hurt just by speaking badly about the other

@Ikoiko You cant say that, its followed by 1 billion people all around the world and by many neutral and soft supporters, but they have their ULTRA and their fanatics...
The difference is that Clasico is now like Super Bowl, a World event with fans from all over the world. But do not forget how Madrid and Barcelona cities are in the Clasico week, how Historically they Hate Madrid and their fans...
Spain had a CIVIL WAR 40 years ago, and the Hate between Pro-Franco and Anti-Franco exist as every body lost someone during the war...
But if you are smart enough, you wont act like a Roman in a Colleseum watching Gladiators killing each others, we assist to a SPORT and we are not all DRUNK AS* H*LES in the Stadium.
Rivalry is not a competition about who screams louder or who Hate the most.

@Emrecan In my eyes it isn't a problem, It's just young lads having a go at each other in the name of their clubs. I have been stabbed once when i went to an away game at West Ham. I can tell you it wasn't a pleasant experience however during these clashes you get a hell of a kick out of it. I don't think it is a smart thing to do, but if you are willing to risk your health for your club go ahead. However when people are killed i think its gone to far like those Galatasaray fans who stabbed two Leeds United fans to death in 2000.

@Dephased Yeah it's always coming from Galatasaray fans. They stabbed a Fenerbahçe fan in 2012 too. I like Galatasaray actually I like all the teams who playes with heart but their fans always making me hate them.

@Dephased: Maybe there's a website called "Hooligany Room" or "Stupidity Room" somewhere, you should try, I'm sure you'll make a lot of friends there.

@tiki_taka, I agree in that respect, but my keyword here is "fierceness". Perhaps we are using this word in two different ways. I don't advocate violence, I simply acknowledge that in El Clásico's case, violence is more prevalent in other rivalries.
