Luis Suarez gets a nine match ban in international football; four-month ban in all football activities (including entering stadiums)

This means he can't play for Liverpool until the 1st of November. He will also miss the first 3 matches of the Champions League.

Serves him right.

guys, 2 years is too much. This ban is reasonable enough (2 more months would be nicer of course).

We dont want his life to be ruined even though it's completely down to his mental problem.

There are football fans who want to see him play, too.

I hope he learns his lesson this time.

@tuan_jinn: He will not be training at all with his club, you could add 1 or 2 more months to the 4 month ban, considering he will be not fit for a while.

@Vendetta He can practice without them, train in gym and so on, and he will be for sure.

@quikzyyy: He can train and practice alone as much as he wants but it still won't be the same as training as a team. The team would have adapted to any change in style or tactics while Suarez would be left behind for a while. I wouldn't be surprised to see him get sold.

@Vendetta I reacted to what you wrote *"*he will be not fit for a while." In everything else you're right, and I think too he will be probably sold in January.

I think this ban is enough for him. Now he will question himself and understand his mistakes at this time like why he is pretenting like an animal with those bites.
And here the League matches :

16/08/2014 Liverpool v Southampton
23/08/2014 Manchester City v Liverpool
30/08/2014 Tottenham Hotspur v Liverpool
13/09/2014 Liverpool v Aston Villa
16-17/09/2014 Champions League first week
20/09/2014 West Ham United v Liverpool
22/09/2014 League Cup 3rd Round
27/09/2014 Liverpool v Everton
30/09-01/10/2014 Champions League second week
04/10/2014 Liverpool v West Bromwich Albion
18/10/2014 Queens Park Rangers v Liverpool
21-22/10/2014 Champions League third week
25/10/2014 Liverpool v Hull City

In MY OPINION this ban is exaggerated and here is my reason in believing so:
When you take Suarez' action down to the core, biting is just a form of aggression. It equals elbowing, headbutting, kicking, etc. Now what makes bitting different is the fact that its an uncommon gesture. True it is his 3rd time, but how many times have we seen clear nasty aggression from players like Pepe? If this is a punishment for bitting a player and causing minimal harm, then the punishment to players who purposely intend harm and cause injuries should be leveled or higher.

@Raimondo "biting is just a form of aggression. It equals elbowing"
No way, sometimes players in fight for the ball uses elbows to help and get the ball, but **biting**? What was he thinking about it? Healthy human can't even think about biting someone.

Quickzy, I'm not talking about elbowing while fighting for a ball. And would you consider aggression by headbutting or kicking/punching a natural act for a "healthy" human?

And like I said before, it's a big deal because its uncommon. The rest are seen so much more often but it doesn't change the the fact that it's physical aggression on another player.
Would you consider what Song did more aggressive than Suarez?

if he gets hungry quickly he should eat before match.

It is aggression too yes, but when you have nerves for someone what would come to your mind? Push him, punch him, but I don't believe that you would think about biting someone. It's uncommon because one does not simply bite someone. For Song, he deserved that red card for sure, if it was more aggressive I don't know, it was pretty stupid though, but Mandzukic added a bit in to that.

We got to the point I wanted to make. Song was stupid, so was Suarez. If Song deserved a red and nothing else then Suarez deserved just as much.

This ban is way too harsh.. 3 games would have been enough. It's just this twitter kids blowing it out of proportion so they can have something to talk about. Bittersweet for Liverpool, they Keep Suarez but can't play him. I've seen tackles when legs have been broken and they only got a red card. 4 months for a bite is simply ridiculous.
