Thanks foota.

also, as good as Sociedad is i think i last atleast farther then the group stage Sociedad must beef up there squad alittle bit because of the intense competition in the champions league and will be a whole new environment for Sociedad with a whole new set of teams who play so differently. dont get me wrong, i beleive with the same squad sociedad can continue to return to the champions league in 4th or even 3rd but to make it far in the champions league itself needs alittle beefing of the squad.

The best thing to do is to purchase 1 or 2 players with Great European experience that can be like a leader in the Champions league because a majority of the Sociedad squad are UCL virgins.

Agreed. But I think they won't be too foolish with their money. Perhaps they could get 1 really strong CDM for cheap (there's a good few in France).

Do i even have to say anything, we got Pellegrino, the coach of our fall season to thank for this

"to make it far in the champions league itself needs alittle beefing of the squad."

Try: a LOT of beefing. They're not that good. :p

And with the number of suddenly rich clubs in France and Russia, I doubt that beefing will be easy.

I disagree Lod. Sociedad have many natural homegrown talents and some signings that have done wonders in the league.

Imanol Agereixte
Carlos Vela
Diego Infran
Antoine Griezzeman
Inigo Martinez.

But those guys alone cant take them too far, so like Boix said... 1 or 2 players that can be like leaders in European Competition might do them well, players with great experience in the European game.

Its not unusual to see a team full of international unknown's get farther then the group stage (example FC Copenhagen 2011, Apoel Nicosia 2012, in recent times.) it just depends on there group.

just because they names arnt well known doesnt mean that they are bad.. they have build a well-oiled machine

if they play like they have in 2013 they will reach quarters atleast, no kidding, they play godlike
