DEAR FR Members and Forum Participants:

The forum has been a successful outlet for legitimate football discussions between real football fans. For the most part it shields us from the wilderness of idiocy and hatred that is the highlights reels.
I have been a member here for quite a while now and I have learned some things from our discussion. NOW, I Want to take it to the NEXT LEVEL!

MY PROPOSITION: I want to Create a Series called "CLUB PROFILE". I will present a list of Football clubs and will be looking for SERIOUS volunteers to be responsbile for profiling one of each. The profile should include the following:
#1- The Club's History: Origins (tends to be the most interesting part); significant eras, moves, or changes in club name locale, etc.
#2- Highlight Key Managers and team "classes". Talk a little about said people's lives and background.
#3- Interesting RECORDS and/or Innovations introduced by the club
#4- A Quick List of all the Titles Earned by said club
#5- Any Interesting or Quaint Facts about the club that you think people would enjoy

This activity is not meant to be a chore but rather a REAL adventure. We can help REALLY teach each other more about football and in the process become really knowledgeable about the game we all love. It is one of the most significant things we could do for each other and I think it is a very worthwile unertaking that I hope you will be interested in participating in!!!

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT!:
Footyroom has finally gotten back to me regarding the final details...
#1- FR HAS GENEROUSLY AGREED TO REWARD THE AUTHOR OF THE BEST PROFILE WITH AN AUTHENTIC FOOTBALL SHIRT. The winner will choose a team and player of choice and will provide FR with his personal information so that the prize can be shipped to his address. #2- FR WILL BE THE JUDGES OF THE PROFILES AND DECIDE THE WINNER. Myself, nor any other member will have any part in the decision in order to eiliminate bias and ensure standardized evaluations.

#3- Lastly, I'd just like to once again thank everyone who has agreed to participate in the series and I hope you have and will learn some things from it. That said, we would like to see more participants take part as there are very many more footballing institutions that haven't been profiled. 
#4- I have refrained from chosing a club so as to give everyone else an opportunity to pick one to their liking. I think enough time has elapsed and whilst there are many I would like to tackle, I simply cannot resist the tempation to choose Arsenal (seeing that noone else has claimed it). I wanted to choose something else but the turst is, that I just don't trust anyone else to do a better job of profiling my beloved club than me.
In the interest of fairness, I have exempted myself from partaking in the Competition since I was the one who came up with it. This might sound cheesy, but what I really want is for others to appreciate the history of my club & football in general by reading my piece. I haven't chosen a date as of yet (because of my current situation) but it most certainly not be anytime before late February.

Had an idea... why don't we have Club Profiles as an actual posting category, like Off Topic, and Transfer News? It would make it easier for people to find/list all of them.

@Lodatz, I suggested it to FR the second I saw footaholic's post but never got a reply back and seeing as it's not been done I assume they thought it wasn't necessary, although I think it would be a very good idea.

Massive Kudos to you Footaholic! Wish more users were like you.

After man_utd asked me where my profile for Spurs was, I realized I totally forgot about it. :(

I'm really sorry everyone -- I've just been really busy with work, and trying to find new work, that I just didn't think about it. I'll try and put something together over the next couple of days, but am sorry again for breaking up the flow.
