DEAR FR Members and Forum Participants:

The forum has been a successful outlet for legitimate football discussions between real football fans. For the most part it shields us from the wilderness of idiocy and hatred that is the highlights reels.
I have been a member here for quite a while now and I have learned some things from our discussion. NOW, I Want to take it to the NEXT LEVEL!

MY PROPOSITION: I want to Create a Series called "CLUB PROFILE". I will present a list of Football clubs and will be looking for SERIOUS volunteers to be responsbile for profiling one of each. The profile should include the following:
#1- The Club's History: Origins (tends to be the most interesting part); significant eras, moves, or changes in club name locale, etc.
#2- Highlight Key Managers and team "classes". Talk a little about said people's lives and background.
#3- Interesting RECORDS and/or Innovations introduced by the club
#4- A Quick List of all the Titles Earned by said club
#5- Any Interesting or Quaint Facts about the club that you think people would enjoy

This activity is not meant to be a chore but rather a REAL adventure. We can help REALLY teach each other more about football and in the process become really knowledgeable about the game we all love. It is one of the most significant things we could do for each other and I think it is a very worthwile unertaking that I hope you will be interested in participating in!!!

REMINDER: Only 1 person per club on a first-come, first-serve basis. Again, it is probably better if you do a club you don't follow or don't know AS much about. The point is for everyone to learn something cool they weren't aware of. Also, and importantly, YOU WILL HAVE YOUR OPPORTUNITY TO DISCUSS OR ADD ANY ADDITIONAL FACTS DURING EACH THREAD. So if you happen to know a lot abut a club that another person is writing about, feel free to enlighten us further :)

@knibis: Thanks for volunteering. For now, it will be a timed series of thread. There are plenty of FR users so I ask that everyone Focuse on 1 club for the time being. If in future, there remains additional clubs that someone who has already created a profile would like to tackle then he may volunteer to do so at that time. For the time being, let's just try to give everyone a chance at 1 club.

I have some suggestions for you guys who hasnt picked: 

Deportivo a coruna - giant in the league and CL between 95 and 2005. 5 times in CL. best La liga positions those years: 1,2,2,3,3. 2 times Copa del ray winners, 3 times supercup winners now a bottom team...

Deportivo alves - the team that played EL final with liverpool in 2001 is now playing in segunda B

Leeds - from CL to league 1

IFK göteborg - swedish team of almost amateurs that won uefa cup and played brilliant in europe in the 80s and 90s. Socialist team

st pauli - socialst club that has one of the best ultras in europe. in and out of bundesliga.

Udinese/Granada/Watford - 3 teams as an empire of the udineses presedent. look more into it its very interesting and you will find the reason why udine is so succesfulll.

Cagliari - Serie A club that cant play home matches at home...

If it is supposed to be an adventure I guess I can take Villareal CF instead of Chelsea. So, now awais007 can do a club profile on Chelsea. I have been a long time admirer of Villareal and would like to know more about them, so I'll be doing Villareal instead of Chelsea.

I'll do the Australian League club, Sydney FC, then. Since our legend, Dwight Yorke, went there.

I have been waiting for FR to get back to me but until they do, I propose that one profile be submitted every Monday and Friday.  This way we all know when to expect a new profile but we also have enough days to actually discuss them. I ASK THAT EACH OF YOU PLEASE CHOOSE ONE OF THE UPCOMING MONDAY'S & FRIDAY'S:

Mondays : Dec. 31; Jan. 7, 14, 21, 28; Feb. 4, 11

Fridays: Dec 28; Jan. 4, 11, 18, 25; Feb. 1, 8

I will put it into a calendar. 

Since, Dynastian98 has already completed his proifle I suggest that he go first (i.e. posts on Friday, Dec. 28th).

One last suggestion, try to title each section or part of your profile in BOLD so that it's easier to read. 

FYI, I have a HUGE medical licensing exam that I just had to schedule so I will not be able to be around from now on. I just wanted to finish this project to ensure that it is successful but I need everyone to be responsible and stick to their scheduled. If I have any more updates I will let you know.
