Had to happen eventually. Did he actually miss the net, or was it a save?

He skied it. But then we were given another one and he scored. It wasn't a penalty, the second one, methinks. We'll never hear the end of this. I mean, there was surely contact with the hand, I'm just not sure it was intentional. I don't think it was.

The first penalty was a push as Benzema was jumping for the ball to head it in. There were two hands on him and Benzema made the msot of it. Those are usually called.

He is forgiven. He just scored a second. Walking backwards, and hitting a volley inch perfect to the lower corner.

Unless you played football, you can't imagine just how difficult of a skill it is. Amazing, top top quality goal.

Meanwhile Madrid playing without any form of fluidity. Such dull football to watch...

Retreating back-post volley, man that was a good goal.

SunFlash: I just read your thread. Well written. I am not quite I understand what you're trying to say to me though with this. I did agree that the penalty should not have been called, just as the Law 18 states. The referee should not have altered the course of the match and I do prefer when the refs allows the players to win the game - which I think we would've if he had not intervened.

Could you elaborate on what exactly you were trying to tell me?

Dynastian: I thought it was a good game. We had a lot of chances, and were very creative. Just terribly wasteful in front of goal. Our players, with the exception of Ronaldo, really have to stop aiming at the goal-keeper. Benzema had a couple, Modric had one as did Ronaldo. Bale had one saved. If these had gone in, you're looking at a cricket score.

I only tuned in after Ronaldo's second goal because of my timezone. The football I watched from that point and beyond was quite dull. Bale looked to be in good form though, and so did Lucas Vazquez. I'm a fan of Casemiro's game, so I'm slightly disappointed the lad doesn't get more playing time, but it's okay as long as we won. I just hope we win a title in the end since we've already been disqualified from the CDR.

@Amerr, I didn't see the foul, so I can't comment, it wasn't in the highlights. I just gave to it you for knowledge/perspective purposes.

These LL refs are awful. Gifting Real 2 penalties and now gifting a penalty to Barcelona. What's worse is that Neymar hit the ball with both feet which should have been an indirect free kick.

@raimondo90 I am just waiting when tiki_taka pops up to explain you and convert the whole conversation why and how LL refs are better than BPL.

^ And also how LL refs favor Real Madrid more than anybody else, and how also it is Real Madrid's fault that Neymar is decided to cheat on taxes.

But of course, at the end of day, it's all because of Franco.

La Liga referees have always benefited the big two teams... it's nothing new and nothing surprising. The home games at the Camp Nou and the Bernabeu are always the most biased. Credit to teams like Depor and Valencia who leave those grounds with points in the bag.
