He will follow diego costa to chelsea for about 20m. I dont like this transfer, he is old and expensive, we should get younger player like luke shaw

So chelsea will just buy everyone this transfer window??

As we football fans know, when a player leaves a club, a new play comes in to fill the empty position, so basically thats what Chelsea are doing, buy fabregas for super frank's position, buy filipe luis for ashley cole's post, diego costa for eto'o.. so nope, chelsea are not buying everyone, only some players to replace the players left

Only just caught this question:

@tiki:

"How much does luke Shaw cost ?"

http://www.101greatgoals.com/blog/southampton-want-world-record-30m-for-full-back-luke-shaw-star-sport/

Apparently 30 million pounds. And yes that's overpriced, but since they've already pocketed 50m, that's a large chunk of their transfer spending already paid for, so they might even go in for both, and ship out Bertrand. Cole's already gone, after all. Either way, whatever Chelsea end up spending this summer, subtract 50m from it.

They've being smart with their assets. Chelsea are gonna rise again in Europe, I'm warning y'all. ;)

@quikzyyy: We have the money to fill in all the vacant positions. We're not just buying any player that has talent. Like @iamRDM said, we're buying to replace the players that left and we have the money to buy them too.

@V Wonder if now will play Azpilicueta as a RB and Luis will be as a LB, and if Ivanovic will be benched. So you're still going for a Luiz replace? Damn, I'm scared of this Chelsea team..

Azpilicueta is surely going back to RB since he plays better on that side. What's scary about that though is how close he was to perfection on the left. Is he seriously going to play better than this season? How is that even possible?

As for Ivanovic, I think he will be a second choice RB.

Still prefer Rodriguez

I would say we play the new signing (still have hope of Shaw, Rodriguez, Moreno) at LB and Dave at RB

Cahill will start at CB with Terry and Ivanovic but Ivanovic will go to RB when Cesar or new signing is injured/suspended. Kalas has already gone on loan and I expect Zouma on loan to a top French or German side.

Edit : I didn't mean 3CB, I just meant that they will rotate

@ fabryi: That bus might just smash you 6-0 again if you don't watch out, and your beloved Fabregas will be there to help us beat you again. ;)

@Vendetta

Who do you think is the ideal LB

@ Eden17Hazard17: Filipe Luis. He's in his prime and is built for the EPL, he has some connections with the other Brazilians in Chelsea and is argubaly the best LB in Europe right now.

@V You're forgetting about Alaba as a best LB, yea it will be scary this year to go to Stamford Bridge.

after watching atletico in the CL, Luis is a beast and will fit perfectly into mourinho's team. He has a winner spirit, determination, and he can get dirty to get the job done. He's fast, he's skillful, and he can pass well. This guy is amazing and I have no idea what jordi alba is doing in brazil right now.

He's a beast, I think he's easily the best LB in Europe at the moment however he's 28!!!

and will be 29 at the start of the season!!!!!

@eden does it matter if he helps you win the league ? If he has an okay longevity he'll have another 3 seasons at his best level. If he helps you win trophies during that period it's well worth it.

@Eden: Zola was 30 when we signed him. It turned out well in the end.

Seriously, nowadays everyone wants players with potential rather than ones who can become an instant hit with the fans. In the past, most players were signed in their prime and it turned out MUCH better than expected.

In a way, yes. Mourinho is smart enough to know where to sign, he really knows what he wants and signing from Barça and Atleti is the best thing to do for Chelsea.

If i was to sign a young player for over 30M, that would Gotze or Reus Only...
You should know that Felipe luis assisted Costa many times this year, Mourinho buying both is very smart.

I heard Liverpool giving us 34M for Alexis, i dont want him to leave at the moment, Song should come back to EPL....

Like I said..... Luis is a brilliant purchase by Chelsea. You Chelsea fans will love having him at your club. It'll take something else from Rodgers and Pellegrini to beat Mourinho's team next season, I'll tell you that. ;D

Im still waiting for this, because even RM dropped some points due to lack of domination of lower teams...
I would be interested to see if Mourinho is able to update his tactics or stick on his old ones...
