@RealMadrid17

Even Cahill goal is way better than James Rodriguez so keep quiet.
Didnt heard you disgraced by Ramos being there despite an embarassing World cup, Luiz, Iniesta and Silva doesnt deserve to be there.
You are disgraced just with things you dont like, when its in your side you keep silent.

Suddently World cup means something for you because James goal was scored there ? Then back a German for the BO win if you dont want to seem like a complete biased fanboy.

If Low wins it ahead of Carlo or Simeone, than World cup means something right ? then why the hell did not a German win BO ?

@Marcus,
Your argumentation is just nonsense : ''Ooh It is a great achievement to win 7 matches with a team full of talent and world class players ''

We can say the same about CL, the real competition starts in quarters and you have 5 games to win the trophy.

So for example the 100M of olympics means nothing because it lasts 9seconds ? Does the 5000Meters counts 50 times more ? We all know the 100M and Bolt are the most entertaining competition/Athlete in athletism.

Players spend 4 years waiting, qualifying, dreaming and preparing for World Cup.

At the end this is complete non sence, give BO to Ronaldo then logically Carlo/Simeone should get best coach, and stop watching WC if its not that important after all.

Or give the BO to the best WC performer ( Robben ) or to a winner ( Muller or Neuer ) and best coach should logically goes to Low.

World cup is the most important competition of Football, there is no bigger glory to play for your nation with players you arent training with every day and in high pressure conditions, once each 4 years....just as an information : the next one is in 3 years and half. The results, glory, embarassements, flops stay marked in Football History forever so better back your nation instead of diminuating the competition.

I would have more German in the Fifa XI they really deserved it.

@Tiki_taka, Ramos sucked at the world cup, but had an amazing season, and year overall, and Iniesta didn't. Neither did David Luiz... James' goal being better has nothing to do with the world cup being important or no.. And dont use the "world cup means something" because if thats true, Messi shouldn't have won the Ballon D Or in 2010... I dont agree with Low winning the best coach award, it should have gone to Simeone... World cup is important, but 7 games shouldn't 100% affect a complete year, and you should know that... And how was Cahill's goal better? Both were volleys, one was in the group stage, one in the round of 16, James was from further away from the pitch. James' goal was better, and it won, nothing you can do about it, look around everywhere, football analysts, 99% of them are criticizing Iniesta being on the TOTY, yet I'd say maybe 5% are criticizing James' goal as best goal. van Persie's goal wasn't the best goal of the world cup, James' goal beat him in that vote, so logically he would do it again. Luiz had a bad season with Chelsea and a pretty bad world cup, don't know why he's there over the likes of Godin, and Boateng... And you can't say Iniesta deserves it. Give me a break... Yaya, Modric, James, Schweinsteiger, all deserved it over him. Iniesta isn't as good as he used to be... You might be bias because he plays for Barca, but its the sad truth... And you using an argument that a German deserved the Ballon D Or because Low won the coach of the year, why dont ou turn you rlogic around? If Neuer didn't win the Ballon D Or and Ronaldo did, maybe a club manager, deserves manger of the year instead of Low. Look at it from all points of view...

@Marcus2011 I think you're one of the only one with this point of view, other than Madrid haters, or Netherlands fans, most football analysts have said it was the best goal... Van Persie's goal was good but in my honest opinion I'd take Kasami's goal over Van Persie's... Van Persie's goal didn't win the WC best goal, so how would it be logical that he won it now? James' goal was more spectacular than Van Persie's.

Look to your argument while talking about James goal for WC, i quote you arguing with marcus : James goal was best goal in world cup....

Well, sport is like this, not just Football, in sprint you can break records in training, but you need to perform in a specific 9 seconds, those 9 seconds can make you World champions or direclty eliminated, thats the way it is.
And you cant hide the fact that your subjectivity is on an other level, thumbing yourself up or get your buddies thumbs doesnt change this fact.

edit : and marcus is not the only one, i share absolutely the same view...
Your argument, look we are many to think this is clueless, completely stupid, the world is owned by 1% of the population and they are smarter, richer and have more power than 99%, being many to be wrong isnt an argument.

Ramos had a bad world cup, but had an amazing year overall, don't deny it. Iniesta didn't have a good year with Barca, and had a bad world cup as well. Don't say Iniesta deserved it, everything Iniesta did last year, Modric did better, so did Yaya, don't need any arguments because its logic... It's like saying Ronaldo is better than Willian, no argument needed, just plain logic. Obviously I'm not comparing Iniesta to Willian, but in 2014, he wasn't up to standards... Yaya was best African player, won the league with city, and was in the BPL best XI. Schweinsteiger won the world cup, as well as a great season with Bayern, even though he was injured a lot... Godin deserved it over Luis, so did Boateng. Godin was in the UEFA TOTY as well as a great year with Atleti and a good world cup. All of them got in the teams of the tournament of their respective leagues, and had better performances in the world cup than David Luis... Ramos despite the embarrassing world cup was club world cup best player, UEFA TOTY, bbva best defender and in the best 11... You can't deny his presence in the TOTY... Modric was BBVA's best midfielder as well.

First of all , I pay cable TV just to watch the damn football , second I go to male football matches when I have a chance and if work allows , third of all I partially like millions of football fans around the world I paid for that ceremony with my money by buying "their" product : Game of FOOTBALL . So , I know many football fans , footballers and few pro players and none of them know about female football or ever want to know about female football , so why force it on us ?
Are you feminist girl emrecan ? Not that i care about your gender and what movement you support but you do sound like one .

Why am I being sexist here ? Is everything has to be "black and white" in kinder garden world of ours ?

Is not it sexist to leave out better candidates out of final top 3 for Puskas award and instead put female footballer witb "Sunday league" match type of goal ?! That is sexist ! Where is your critical reasoning ? Wait you never had one .

WTF DOES THIS HAS TO DO WITH SIN AND RELIGION ? Did I say that it is sin ?Wtf do you know about me ? How can you assume that I am even religious and what religion I have ? Shows the level of your intelligence and class .

And you must be xenophobic person if you randomly link it with religion and bring it into discussion ... Wait , if that is so then I know your kind and heard too much about it . Are you one of those who blame religion for Turkeys backwardness but fail to admit that religious leader has put Turkey in top 20 worlds biggest economies since 2003 and still pushing Turkey with fast emerging economy as one of the world leaders whose voice now counts ? Yes , you are . It is pleasure watch you moan and complain all the time . Even here on football discussion you have to bring it up to ease up the pain of being one of those who basically are no bodies . )))

Voting system also said that David Luiz is one of the best defenders in the world .. is that true ? Man don't ridicule yourself .

My thoughts on the awards:

Ronaldo deserved it. Messi and Neuer being close was also fair.

James deserved the award as well. It takes more difficulty to score a beauty like that in the World Cup with your nation's expectations on you than in a "Sunday League" match against pathetic defenders (I'm talking about the female representative in the Puskas Award).

FIFA XI, as always, is a joke. Godin, Modric, Toure, and Alaba all deserved it ahead of Silva, Iniesta, and Luiz. Putting Luiz in there is a f**king joke. The man doesn't even know how to mark his man, forget being in the FIFA XI.

Diego Simeone deserved it ahead of Low. Should've been 1. Simeone, 2. Ancelotti, 3. Low. Low literally wins the award for winning 7 matches with a stacked team. Simeone took a cheap team and brought them to two trophies in 2014, as well as coming in the semi-finals of the Copa and the final of the CL. Ancelotti took his superstar team to 4 trophies in 2014, and coming tied on points for 2nd in La Liga, and runners-up in the Supercopa.

Have no opinion on the women's awards since I don't watch women's football.

LOL Marcus you must have really offended from what I said since you look like a mad person who thinks what he says is always right. You showed me many times what you support and what your opinions are so I guess I just know how to get you offended.
Yes I support womens right unlike your opinion. And yes I agree about what Dynastian said here
*"James deserved the award as well. It takes more difficulty to score a beauty like that in the World Cup with yournation's expectations on you than in a "Sunday League" match against pathetic defenders (I'm talking about the female representative in the Puskas Aw*ard)."
But you tried to say the same by humiliating women like they are no humans. I never said Stephanie's goal should've won. I think James deserved the award. But also I think, this years Puskas award and nominees were not good as the old ones so I said I won't talk about it.
You again making erdoğan's propoganda but I won't make the same mistake here to argue with you about that.
