Abramovich likes Cavani so he's getting in the way.

There are three strikers I will be happy to see in Chelsea : Cavanni , Falcao and Costa .

The cheapest out of those three should be acquired .

I personally like Costa and Cavanni , because i Love lone strikers . Target man who can hold the opposition upfront and bring terror just by himself .

I love strikers like Thiery Henry , Van Nisterloy , Drogba, Ronaldo De Lima , Ibrahimovic , Francesco Totti and etc .

What about Ciro Immobile ? He's had quite the season and would be much cheaper than anyone from the current targets

After tonight, why would Costa want to leave for Chelsea? He's in a fantastic and stable squad and is thriving in Spain. Atletico have been selling their best players year after year. If Atleti are to remain a challenger to Real and Barca, it is critical they keep Costa and Simeone and strengthen further over the Summer. Swapping Costa with Torres as rumours claim will only take Atletico backwards instead of forward to a European power club that they can be for years to come.

That depends on their debt. Don't forget that they have 200+ million Euros worth of debt that they are still struggling with. Keeping away the luring wages that Abramovich can offer will be difficult.

To be honest, I'm not sure myself which striker will best fit Chelsea because it's pretty damn obvious that Mourinho will change his playing style next season. He may be putting emphasis on defense now, but he's going to place much more emphasis on offense next season. Just let him decide which striker to buy, and he'll be working magic in a year or two.

I have to say after two legs , I am not very impressed with Costa anymore . Maybe our defense was too good for him or maybe he is little overrated . Falcao was tearing us appart all by himself .

@Marcus

Or maybe you should watch some Atletico games. Then you'll understand.

Watched it . He is good , but I thought he was impressive until Chelsea match . He had like 10 headers in first game and could not finish none of them .

Falcao is still the man who left me speechless , but Costa or Falcao or Cavanni still will be 10 times better than what we have upfront and I will be happy to see either one . Plus , Costa is only 25 , so there is lots of room for improvement , while Falcao and Cavanni have established their styles already and in currently in their peak of careers .
