Di María is going to leave Real Madrid. He himself made the agreement for the transfer, and now the clubs Real Madrid and Man United need both to agree for the transfer and its done. This all means that James Rodriguez will replace Di Maria's position

Manchester United just signed a STUD!!!

mark my words, he will tear the BPL a new hole. Van Persie and Rooney will both thrive with this underrated playmaker.

@bluezz: So, you are trying to say that Manchester United is not a big club. As much as it hurts me as a Liverpool fan but Manchester United is eventually the biggest club in England. They don't use to spend as big as other clubs do but are undoubtly the big guns here. They had a bad season which eliminated them from Europe for once, so what? With Louis van Gaal in charge they will just grow much, much stronger next season and are surely title contendors.

Angel Di Maria has reportedly turned down a move to Manchester United as he wants to be playing in the Champions League, according to the Daily Express.

Man United had been considered favourites to sign Di Maria, but this latest development will offer encouragement to Premier League rivals Arsenal and Chelsea, both of whom have been linked with the Real Madrid midfielder.

Di Maria was excellent for Carlo Ancelotti’s side last season, registering 17 assists – more than any other player in La Liga. The 26-year-old was also named Man of the Match in the club’s Champions League final victory over local rivals Atletico Madrid.

Despite his impressive displays, Madrid are now ready to sell Di Maria to make way for Colombia’s World Cup star James Rodriguez. The La Liga giants value the midfielder at £40 million.United had been confident of signing Di Maria this summer, and were prepared to offer him wages of £150,000-a-week, but the player does not want to miss out on playing in Europe’s leading club competition.

Di Maria has played a key role for Argentina at the World Cup, connecting the midfield and attack with his running. He missed the semi-final against the Netherlands with a thigh injury.

In his absence, Argentina lacked fluidity, and they only reached the final after a penalty shoot-out. He is battling to be fit to face Germany in the final tomorrow.

Real Madrid is really stupid to let Di Maria go, I really wish that we can sign him, but that's not going to happen anymore. He will probably leave to PSG.

Now, that might be an incredible great news. But, the Moyes' legacy of not playing in CL next season is taking its toll on us :(. Im not sure if we should be so excited about this yet...

I did not say its official but it can be official in a couple of days because the transfer is already agreed by Di María so it will be official very soon. The transfer will not be cheap he is going to be sold for a price above the 40-50 mill. I wish Ângel the best of luck in England and i hope James will do as good as him or even better.

. . . Speak Your Mind . . .You are lost, Skysports and almost all the other footballnews sites never said anything about PSG. So i dont know what you are talking about. Di Maria to United is like 85/100%. If Real and United agree then the transfer is done and he will be flying Manchester after the World Cup.SAY IT

I'm confused.... a player with the quality of di Maria will want to join a team with Champions League football. United aren't even in Europe this season.

And I'm hating his little transfer speculation right now. He's been ridiculously inconsistent throughout 2011-2013, but we still kept him, and even gave him a better contract. Now, all of a sudden, he's had a brilliant season, and instead of respecting his club's generosity, he's trying to bully the contractors into selling him. Hate this kind of attitude that agents place into their players.

Its not easy for him, he has been fighting for a starting place since his arrival, you know how big is the competition between Madrid players...
Going to PL would give gim a starting place, more wages and less pressure, so its understandable.
And when you heard Falcao rumours, Toni Kroos comming and James Rodriguez dreaming of Real Madrid, Di Maria is right to ask himself some questions, he could be benched for the whole year and loose all his value while he could leave now for a team where there is less pressure and less competition and get a better salary.

Dont blame him for protecting himself, he is talented enough to be treated as a big player, wich is not actually the case in Madrid.

Angel Di Maria close to PSG move in huge blow to Manchester United transfer hopes

Paris Saint-Germain have emerged as strong favourites to land Real Madrid winger Angel Di Maria.
The Argentine wide-man has an increasingly uncertain future at the Bernabeu after Real prioritised the Colombian playmaker James Rodriguez as their prime marquee target for this summer.
Although manager Carlo Ancelotti is reluctant to lose Di Maria, who was outstanding in Real's Champions League winning campaign last season, President Florentino Perez has identified Rodriguez as a new 'galactico' with enormous potential for the club both on and off the pitch.

PSG now believe that they are the leading contenders to sign the 26-year-old Di Maria, whose contract in Madrid has another four years to run.
Real are holding out for an offer that will approach £50million and the Madrid-based Press has been in overdrive over the last few weeks linking Di Maria to both PSG and United.
Sportsmail understands that United have not made formal contact with Real or the player's representatives this summer, although he is a player that they have been monitoring for several months.

At this point, United are yet to resolve whether they will firm up that interest with a significant bid but reports in Spain this weekend suggest that Di Maria's preference would be for a move to Paris, with the lure of Champions League football and the petrodollars on offer too good to turn down.

New United manager Louis van Gaal will arrive in Manchester this week, where he will hold discussions with the club's hierarchy over several prospective signings.
He is keen to recruit at least one centre half, with a move for Arsenal's Thomas Vermaelen still in the pipeline, although United are yet to reach a compromise with the London club over a fee.
United retain a keen interest in Arturo Vidal of Juventus as Van Gaal looks to add strength to the midfield.

United would also like to add winger to their ranks and it remains to be seen whether Van Gaal will ask executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward to step up the pursuit of Di Maria.
Marco Reus of Borussia Dortmund was a target during the David Moyes reign but Memphis Depay of Holland may now be a more realistic alternative.

No offence but Who would want to join United this season. No Champions league football, let alone Europa league. United are a broken broken club at the moment. Im sure they'll bounce back in 2 or 3 years but for the time being It would be strange to see big stars joining. Lucky they have LVG now or it could have been worse.
