Go on, I challenge you to make the case that Godin is a world-class defender, instead of someone who needs to handball, fall over on cue and lash out at other players in order to be successful.

Personal I reckon that if the Supercopa showed anything, it's that Simeone has had, currently, to resort to playing dirty for his team to still succeed. This isn't surprising, though, is it? That's just how he beat Mourinho's Madrid in the Copa del Rey, isn't it?

You may well believe that Atletico will be 'just fine', man. I don't, because I notice that they've just lost three of their best players (to the same team, no less!), and have replaced them with inferior firepower (though Griezmann is pretty hand, I grant you).

Do you believe that Atletico are currently prepared to deal with someone like, say, Bayern? Not Real, not Chelsea (whom I both believe to be, together with City and potentially Arsenal as able to fight on equal footing with the Bavarians), not Barcelona (whom I don't think can either) but Atletico Madrid.

Without Courtois. Without Costa, and without Felipe Luis.
