who will be the new Chelsea no. 10. I am talking about no. 10 shirt not no. 10 position . Please share your views on this post that who will get new no. 10 shirt.

For me Hazard should shift to 10 and Salah come to 17 because 22 is for willian

Óscar. That's what Mou has wanted since the start of the season.

Oscar got Drogba's number, he should be honoured. If any, I think Hazard deserves it the most, but I wouldn't mind if Salah actually gets the number 10 and prove that he can give us more strength in Mourinho's system than a benched winger Mata. Mata is a great CAM who is not able to defend at all, while Salah can give his all in both offensively and defensively, just like Willian.

Oscar. Drogba's number should be saved for Lukaku. And Lampard's number should be retired after he's done.

Oscar seems the obvious choice.

Oscar. And give the #11 to Lukaku when he returns or to the striker we sign this summer (Costa perhaps?).

I don't know if this is Mohamed Salah's official FB page or not but it has over 1.2 million members and this picture is his FB page cover.

^Well it does say '@mohamed salah official page' on the bottom right. I'd be a bit disappointed yet proud if Salah got the #10 :S

@Alex

It's not. If it was, you'd see a little blue circle with a checkmark next to the "Mohamed Salah" writing on his FB page.

@Dynastian: I think retiring the #8 is a bit too much.

Yeah, It's not verified by FB.

@Vendetta I've never seen his skills before other than our matches against Basel, so I had to search on youtube and see what he is capable of and from what I saw you must be really proud to have a player like him in your national team. I'm amazed at his skills, vision and speed. I wouldn't have guessed he is only 21 years old.

@Vendetta Are you kidding right now? Even though Lampard is a cockney bastard who betrayed his boyhood club, for Chelsea he has served the club for over a decade and played for the shirt every game. If its someone who deserves his number retired at Chelsea, its him. (And perhaps the other cockney, John Terry.)

@Dephased: The number #8 is a sacred number. It usually represents our main CM, CDM, or box-to-box midfielder. It's not a number that should be retired. It should be passed down to different generations of Chelsea players along with the #11, #10, #7, #9 and #1. Even Totti doesn't want his #10 to be retired at Roma and he's a bigger club legend, and that's because he understands the importance of that number to the next generation of Roma players to don that number.

I do agree with Terry's number though. That could be retired because it's uncommon and Terry is a bigger club legend (plus an academy player).

@Alex: Yup. Almost all Egyptian's see him as our leader to the next era of the Egyptian NT.

@Vendetta If he himself doesnt want it to be retired fine, but when he dies i think it should be retired.

Salah is an amazing player. Many fans dont know him because they never seen him play. But ive seen him many times with the Egyptian NT and ive seen him with Basel in the CL. Chelsea fans should be happy they got him in their squad because he is very good , but still i dont think he is better than Mata.

They still have +30M euro to sign just from Mata move benefits, and he will get loaned or benched if he is not as performent as expected, maybe with some playing time his price will grow, he is 21 years old so its a good and cheap bargain imo.
Other thing, many EPL clubs were interested about him, so Chelsea by signing him dont give opposition a chance to attract a talented player, and if he does not suceed he could be sold at a good price.
