"Cesc Fabregas reveals Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger hasn't spoken to him since Chelsea transfer."

Wait, WHAT?!

Some of you probably heard of this; I don't know what is going on here. Wasn't there a buy-back option? Didn't Arsenal have a golden chance to re-purchase him? I mean, sure, Ozil will do. But why the hell is Arsene acting like a 4-year old?
Honestly speaking, football isn't just a sport for them, it's also a business! Da hell you thinking Arsene?

Thoughts?

@kinghenry ,

"Lampard stayed until he wasn't given a new contract"

Lampard was offered a pay cut and contract extension , but he turned it down , joined our direct rival and past week took vital points from us . That is sort of a disloyalty , but we are not mad , we still love him, remember him and wish him great. To any Chelsea players really . Joe Cole left to Liverpool, not mad . Daniel Sturridge to liverpool , not mad at Sturridge but at the Benitez . Courtois last season insisted on playing against Chelsea and made very vital save that I think prevented us from going to final . Not mad .

Cesc cost us little more than that and was sold for little more than that if you are talking british pounds.

I thought Cesc has given a lot for Arsenal, but if you think otherwise , I guess you should know better since you are Arsenal fan . He did not move directly to your club rival , but left the country and came back to club rival .

I think Eduardo would have gotten different reception if he was playing for direct rival like Spurs or Chelsea or City or United .

"Nasri who talked a lot of sh*t about our club, "

Nasri talked shit , because Arsenal fans were insulting him all over internet .

"ashley cole who left the invincibles to get more money,"

  • Yes, Ashley Cole left because of money and more success because Arsenal evidently was declining , but how do you expect Englands greatest left back and at the time one of the best in the world , to get paid 55 k a week ? Do you think it is right ?

  • "adebayor who celebrated in front of our fans," *

Who was also abused by Arsenal fans prior to his departure .

"RVP who left to united."

  • Well we all know why he left, same reasons why Thiery Henry left but to direct rival , and we know how that turned out .

Really, can't justify why Arsenal fans should abuse these players with boos or online insults ? IF they are not Arsenal's legends or never made any impact then do not bother at all . Discard them from memory .

I think Fabregas just told the truth . I never like Fabregas as person because he has a loud mouth, but now he is Chelsea player and in this particular case , I think he told the truth . Wenger did not raise a finger to get him . Arsenal had full right to make the first bid and take him , but they did not . So , not sure how Cesc is at fault ....

Henry left Arsenal because he wanted to win Champions League, get your facts right.

I wouldn't be calling Man City "Rivals" only because the team became successful in 2011.

@marcus you really love talking on behalf of arsenal fans. I don't talk on behalf of chelsea fans, when I talk about other clubs' businesses I am very careful and I know very well I am not the best informed. Because to an extent I don't give a crap about other clubs' news.

And what if he told the truth ? He should have kept his mouth shut, that's what people are unhappy about. If you join chelsea after captaining arsenal and if arsenal still means something to you, you keep your head down, you don't mention arsenal related things to the press, and you hope we arsenal fans are not too mad. He did the exact opposite. He acted like a child seeking for attention. Poor baby cesc didn't get messages from arsene, better whine about it to the press. That way everyone is talking badly about arsene and feels sorry for the poor little abandonned cesc. You're NEVER forced to answer questions. He knew exactly what he was doing and that is annoying.

You don't know what happened during the cesc to barça transfer, and you can't compare cesc to joe cole who's crap, or to sturridge who went to liverpool, a club that was not better than southampton right now when both him and joe cole moved. Clichy is the example that you can leave arsenal for another big english club and no one cares. Nasri talked a LOT of shit about arsenal the moment he moved. He received abuse because of that. Ashley Cole went for the money. Whatever you may think, the arsenal team at the time was still the invincible team. We had better players than you. RVP went to united after being our captain. If you don't know what's wrong with that, I don't know what to tell you.

Like I said, we obviously know what's going on at OUR club and what it means to be an arsenal fan better than you, so don't act all condescendant on us and think you know everything.

@quikzy

You know what I meant . Henry wanted CL and Persie wanted EPL . One had bigger ambitions because he has seen good days of Arsenal , while the other had to settle for the least . Similarly both left to get trophies . If I think Like you , I would have considered both cases as disloyalty .

@kinghenry

Ok I am sorry if I sounded offensive . However , even if I am Chelsea fan we do know what is going on within the other clubs . LOL I wake up every morning checking news on All the EPL clubs ( don't really care about other leagues much unless they are big clubs ) , especially on our rivals . Unless you have some sort of connection inside the club or you are friends with Wenger , then we pretty much know the same thing .

Don't you think Arsenal needs to start looking at themselves before blaming players for leaving ? When even your captains leave team , there is gotta be some issue with a club . If player is happy he will stay .

I just look at it in simpler way . If I am working for one company and love what I do , but realize I could grow and benefit more working for a rival company , I would leave and f*ck the morals , unless I am assured that company that I am working for currently will grow , has ambitions and expectations to reach new heights in near future.

Just pointing out obvious things . What could Arsenal offer two years ago to a World Class player ? Realistically . Ofcourse now it seems like things are getting better and Arsenal again attracts players and there is a lot to be offered but players we are talking about left two or 5 or 8 years ago .

Cesc is Chelsea player and when he faces Arsenal , who ever boos him , calls him names or abuses him , will be offending Chelsea Football Club . He represents us , and we represent him .

@madrista11

Well , Atletico Madrid was not much of a rival to Real Madrid till recently ... only because team became successful in 2011 and started to challenge Real for trophies not just domestically . Just saying ..

"Atletico Madrid was not much of a rival to Real Madrid till recently "Where did you get that from? A.Madrid is a team that has been battling Real for ages.. Meanwhile City is a team that was basically made overnight. Take a look at how many competitions Atletico one then compare it to City's http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Atl%C3%A9tico_Madrid#History

@marcus I know all that, football is a job. But fabregas pretended it was more than a job to him on many occasions, and now that he's joined chelsea, he'd like us to still like him. Screw him. He can be friends with mourinho and chelsea fans now, arsenal is his past. That's why he's getting on our nerves.

wenger didint call him ....that doesnt mean he hates him or anything.........u people are just blowing things out of proportion!!!!!.........since he moved to one of the greatest rivals of arsenal, there wil always be some people who will critisize him.......but wenger isnt the kind of person who keeps anything against anybody.....after all its wenger who made him the player he is now...even fabregas admitted to that.........arsenal just had too many options in midfield thats the only reason y wenger didint sign him.......

Lets put ourselves one minute in Cesc situation, he was planning to stay a long time at Barcelona with probably children and wife, he was invited to leave while he did good and the tactics were not adapted to him.
He cant go to another Spanish team, forget about Real Madrid, for Atleti maybe his wages are too high for them. So realistically with PSG FFP issues and Bayern incredible midlefield, he could only come back to PL, a League he knows very well and he enjoys playing there.
His beloved Arsenal refused to bring him back, he only had 3 possible destinations : City, United and Chelsea.Mourinho reacted fast to have the player and to not leave him to direct rivals, Cesc knows London very well as a City and enjoys life there.

At the end Fabregas had no choices...

Its interesting to know the order of Arsenal rivalries, what is worst seeing him in Chelsea, United or Tottenham ?

"You have to remember, football is a job for them" That's FUCKING poorly said, and isn't the first time I've seen it. If football is just a job, why the f we watch it and care about our teams so much then? And fans are the reason that these guys have even chance to be millionaires. Also Wenger is the reason why Cesc is what he is today.

Saying again this same shit. You simply can't feel what Arsenal fans feel, it's so simple. As a Chelsea fan, as a Barca fan, as a Real Madrid fan etc etc you don't simply care, you're just basically laughing, 'cause it isn't related to your team that you love. Also NONE of these comparisons are valid here, the most hilarious comparison is Henry though.

^Exactly.

While we're all wasting time arguing about Fab's loyalty and friendship towards Arsene, they've already stopped giving a shit and are moving on. How about we do that as well and all move on from this silly argument?

@kinghenry

About time you realize , ALLL OF THEM SAY it is more than a job , but then time comes when they do exactly what they told they would never do .

@decentk
It is sport entertainment job . We pay their bills . We fans support this sport to watch it for our entertainment . So, entertainers ( footballers ) are not out there just to enjoy themselves . They are out there mainly to entertain us with quality football and of course winning football .

@madrista11

All i know is that Atletico has 10 titles compare to Real 32 . And Atletico wins cups every 10 years or so . Therefore , does not look much of a rival . More like temporary . Just like City , although City looks set to stay top club for a long time.

@tiki

I rather see Chelsea player leave to Fulham )) However, if i had to choose between Arsenal , Spurs and United , I would have chosen Spurs as destination for Chelsea player .

In the big 6 excluding us, I'd be best our players leave to clubs in this order

  1. Tottenham
  2. Arsenal
  3. Everton
  4. Liverpool
  5. United
  6. City
