"Cesc Fabregas reveals Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger hasn't spoken to him since Chelsea transfer."

Wait, WHAT?!

Some of you probably heard of this; I don't know what is going on here. Wasn't there a buy-back option? Didn't Arsenal have a golden chance to re-purchase him? I mean, sure, Ozil will do. But why the hell is Arsene acting like a 4-year old?
Honestly speaking, football isn't just a sport for them, it's also a business! Da hell you thinking Arsene?

Thoughts?

Basically, when Cesc knew he needed a move, Arsene said "your on your own" instead of buying him. Fabregas, in need of a club that will really believe in him, finds Mourinho and has a inspirational talk on why he would be so important to him at Chelsea. Arsene hears of the news, thinks this is all Cesc's fault for joining us, gives him the cold shoulder (again).

As for what I have read, Fabregas wanted out of Barcelona and Arsenal had priority over his transfer IF they wanted to get him, but they didnt. So Fabregas ended up in Chelsea. Wenger has no reason to be mad at him because Arsenal had the opportunity of getting him. What was Fabregas supposed to do? Ask Wenger what club should he go in order for him not to get mad?

Yep guys, I think it's Wenger's own dilemma and he is acting really childish.

I'm glad he joined us. Fabregas is very passionate about football.

Wenger can talk to whomever he wants and not talk to whomever he wants. He's probably disapointed he went to chelsea, like all arsenal fans are. It's not the same as being bitter. Basically he goes to one of the two main rivals of the club he captained and that made him the player he is right now. You're telling us he had no choice, but he still had a contract at barça, he could have gone to another spanish team, to france, to italy or to germany. Fabregas is very bitchy sometimes. He's always been an attention seeker. There was no need to say something about wenger in a press conference. It's just a way of making himself a victim. When he was at barça he kept tweeting about how he was a still a gunner, when the way he went out of the club was very disrespectful. And all we got for him was peanuts. It's like he desperately wants to be loved by us still.

This is exactly the kind of whiny comments that make us arsenal fans mad. He'll get booed at the emirates.

^Agree on everything, but I think it's not Cesc that made that topic, I think reporter asked him and he answered. But the thing is I don't think any other guy than Arsenal fan can understand why this feels so wrong. I keep seeing these comments like "you Arsenal fans are so bitches, he has every right to go Chelsea" - no we'll never accept it, simple as that.

I'm over it, this is not same as saga with RVP. It's just a bit sad to see him in blue.

Agree with @quikzyyy.I can't believe that we sold him to Barca, where he played a little and then see him in blue jersey. :(

Wow It is 21st Century . Club's do not expect loyalty from players , so are the players do not expect loyalty from the club . You think like old people .

Lampard went on and scored goal against a team that he has so much passion about . He gave 110% on the pitch from the moment he came on against his love and passion team and scored. Should we bash at him ? No . We applause him for the great things he has done for our club . Should he be mad that club did not put more effort to make him stay , no .

Footballers are dedicated to their careers and football ! If Lampard cared so much about our club he would not run for that ball and stand around like other City players. However, he gave his best and scored . It is business . I am not mad , so he should not be mad talk of passion and love for the club . I love Lampard , and i know he does for fans like you all , but I am not convinced and i know how things work in football .

Fabregas would choose Arsenal over Chelsea. But when Arsenal didn't want him, and Chelsea did, what's the problem with him joining them? Arsenal had first dibs on saying 'No' as well, and they didn't. You cannot condemn Cesc for joining Chelsea. It was, in footballing terms, an excellent choice.

Out of all the clubs prolly Arsenal tasted this the most to have players joining their rivals. I felt the same when Lampard scored against us but eh that's football and as a professional footballer he should give more than 100% no matter what. Glad he didn't celebrate or anything because I know Lampard's personality he is not that type of players.

I think Cesc would not celebrate too. (Hope he will never score tho)

@marcus you can't compare cesc to lampard. Lampard stayed until he wasn't given a new contract (am I right on this ? I am not a chelsea fan obviously) because he was too old. Cesc left before his best years as a footballer, creating a lot of drama, refusing to train, wanting only a move to barça, talking to the press about it and driving his price very very low, 24m for the best CAM in England at 24, that's cheaper than what chelsea got him for when barça wanted to get rid of him. Lampard won countless trophies, cesc won zero. He was a great captain for a time, but his legacy at arsenal is dead now and it was nowhere near lampard's legacy at chelsea to begin with. So we will boo cesc. But do you really think we would boo actual club legends ? Here's eduardo's reception at the emirates when he visited with shaktar.

Henry got the same thing when he came back with barça. We treat our former players with respect, unless they don't deserve it. Nasri who talked a lot of sh*t about our club, ashley cole who left the invincibles to get more money, adebayor who celebrated in front of our fans, RVP who left to united. Etc etc. And now cesc who CHOSE to play for chelsea, a club we can't stand.

Marcus we all know football is a business and a job, but he made us believe that it was more than that to him by tweeting constantly about arsenal during his barça years stuff like "once a gunner always a gunner". And now he's being disrespectful to our manager by making him the bad guy in this story.

"Cesc Fabregas reveals Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger hasn't spoken to him since Chelsea transfer."

the title clearly states that cesc was desperate for attention from both media and Wenger. he 'reveals'. pfffttt. so? this is not a player with player issue. it's player with ex-boss issue. so what's the big deal if Wenger dont talk or contact him? Our manager got more things to do with our squad plus a tight schedule plus injury problems in our squad. past is past. cesc join our london rival. he did once gave us permission to kill him if he ever wore a chelsea jersey. he should be glad that none of us are doing it because he will remain as a captain in some of our heart, me in particular. i'm grateful for what he have done for us back in the days. thanks you cesc. goodluck.

Edit : i'm not so sure of the validity regarding the if i ever wore blablabla statement. f@ck it! i hold no grudge against him

“Arsenal is in my heart and always will be. I don’t know if I’ll have the opportunity to go back and play there one day, or maybe after football. It’s a club that is always going to be there and will always open its doors to me. The club’s like a family so even if it wasn’t as a coach, I’m sure they’d give me the chance to play a role. Sol [Campbell] is there now. Arsenal help a lot with the formation of coaches. [Dennis] Bergkamp also went there two, three times a week when he was doing his coaching badges. In that sense it’s a lovely club and there might be the chance to do something with them.”

@jimbet: " he did once gave us permission to kill him if he ever wore a chelsea jersey"? when was that, can you please provide link. On the other hand, it was the reporter who probably asked him, that's quite common, so I dont think it was Cecs nor Wenger who are attention seeker.

I can understand why Arsenal's fan upsets with him because they love him and they feel betrayed... ... If for example Beckham had joined Man City knowing that Sir. Alex didn't want him back, we would still have been very very very upset. But again... it's hard to tell.

“If I ever wear a Chelsea shirt, you have permission to kill me.” – Cesc Fabregas, 2010

This quote was made up on internet when there were rumours that he might sign for Chelsea. He never said that.
