That's really harsh in my opinion... What does this mean for his future in England? Summer transfer??

This is extremely fair imo. He had a biting incident over at Ajax and got a 7 game ban. That was harsh. He gets a 8 match ban for being "racist" to Evra. While this one has suspicious all over it, he can't get away with racism. Not mention the diving and handballs he gives which Lodatz explained already. Then to top it off, he goes and bites Ivanovic! Like he didn't learn his lesson at all! He f*cking deserves it.

Suarez is a twat. It's as simple as that

For all you people who think the ban was proper, go fuc* yourselves. When your team heavily relies on a player like Suarez, you would be red with rage. What he did definitely deserves a punishment, but 10 matches? that's way too much. and i have a new found respect for you @knibis

I'm sorry, but I don't understand why you even BOTHER to protect an idiot who goes and BITES a player in a football match. He BIT Ivanovic. Now you tell me, which person in their right mind would do that? And this isn't the first time he's done this either, so he has no excuse to protect himself. If I can stop protecting a disgrace to my team like Pepe, you should stop trying to protect Suarez.

@Dynastian98
Well I guess that just shows what kind of fan you are. REAL fans support and defend their players no matter what they do, because although what Suarez did was wrong, I don't forget what he's done for the club. Fans like you are what the real fans call, "PLASTIC FANS!!!!"

@nandaYNWA: Actually, man, I think real fans would rather not have a twat like Suarez disgrace their club. If he wasn't so crucial to your team, I don't think you'd defend him as much.

The tragedy is that Liverpool have now been built around his talent. They can either change that fact, as hard as it may be, or get used to the club being associated with the antics of a deranged little child.

I'd love the badge too much to stand by this guy, if he played at Spurs.

Disgracing the club? please. If he was disgracing the club would every single Liverpool fan be defending him? No matter the contribution to the team I would defend him. If Andre Wisdom had done the same thing, I'd defend him. If Gerrard had done the same thing, I'd defend him. What you people don't understand is that you should always defend the players at your team. You all seem to have forgotten that. I'm not saying what he did was right, it was definitely wrong, but Suarez is a red for the moment and that's all that matters to me!

@nandaYNWA

That's what us loyal fans call "blind loyalty". You're no better than those Barcelona fanboys, who will go as far as to protect the shameful players who disgrace the club picture with their diving. I don't see ANY logical reason for you to defend Suarez's actions. So what if he's a Liverpool player? So what if he does so much for your team? Is this an excuse for him to go around biting players and cheating? Nope. Grow up kid. This is the real world. You can't make excuses when you do something stupid. You just gotta suck it up and make sure it doesn't happen again. But I guess you're just as immature as Suarez is, because he just keeps on making one mistake after the other, and you'll just keep on protecting him.

anyone remember this? 23rd of October 2006 West Ham United vs Tottenham, Jermain Defoe bites Mascherano. His punishment? ABSOLUTELY NOTHING, but a yellow card. Where's the fairness in that FA? Is it because Defoe is English and Suarez is Uruguayan? Or because they're trying to tell Suarez to get out of England?

@Dynastian
Your comment actually made me laugh, you should enter a comedy competition. Blind loyalty? more like a real madrid fan who knows I'm right putting forward any argument that comes into his mind. When pepe was in hot waters, your telling me you didn't defend him? If you say yes, then you were in the same position as I am now. If you say no, then you're not better than P.S.G.'s fans who started supporting them in the last year.

I don't want to argue with you, you have your opinion, I have mine. My opinion is obviously a lot different because Suarez has basically saved us this season. I respect your opinion, so let bygones be bygones :)

@nanda: I figured you might bring that up. Yeah, he did it. Yeah, he only got a yellow for it. However, it's also true that when Defoe did it, there was no bureau to review incidents after the game at all. If he did it today, he'd be looking at a 3 or 4 match ban himself.

The difference? Defoe has not been involved in anything like it since, or anything controversial for that matter. Suarez? He's been suspended 25 games of his 3 year stint at the Reds, and this penalty is harsher than most because he's the culprit more often than most.

You know who else got this kind of treatment? Balotelli. It's not picking on Suarez because he is Uruguayan. It's picking on him because he never stops doing dickish things, despite having such a poor track record in that regard. Balotelli had bags of talent too, but it was overshadowed by his love stepping on people's heads and lashing out with unacceptable behavior.

Tell me a single club in Germany who would have put up with Suarez' behavior? Spain and Italy for sure, but not in England, not in Germany, and apparently not in the Netherlands either, given that they gave him a 7-match ban themselves.

We just don't like pricks ruining our game, is all.

Lodatz, the reason he didnt get banned is that he is black and English. We all know how English players are favored by the FA. I mean look at Suarez "racism" vs Terry's "racism" incident. If you ban one, why dont you ban the other as well. Sadly, this is the truth.

Because, again, Suarez keeps racking up the offenses. You might recall Barton, Bowyer and a ton of other English players being raked over the coals for their behavior.

The difference? They packed it in.

Here's a simple solution. Don't bite people on the pitch.

Guys, Suarez was certainly born in rural place outside Uruguay. There is a lot of violence, especially for the drugs. Maybe we shouldn't harsh with him and check what he has done with his heart.

I don't mean to defend him, but just he is better than Bale or Nani, so no need to force him to go.
