"Arsenal haven't got a winning mentality" - Santi Cazorla

Why in the F*CK would you say something like this when you damn well know we're in the semis for the FA Cup? True or not, back your team until the end of the season, at the very least.

Why doesn't he leave the clun then?

No sh-it sherlock ;) The best decision for Arsenal is to get a big CHANGE. Wenger leave , New quality players , New talents. I mean like ''something'' big must change because Arsenal is really terrible and weak now.

Really though, be self-analytical as well. His performances lately haven't been the greatest for him to even mumble such a thing. Hopefully this doesn't stir up the dressing room.

@Iraqi, Until then, they're still in the run for silverware. Besides that, Arsenal isn't ending the season with the same squad that put them on top in the beginning.

@Iraqi Arsenal isn´t that weak, I wonder how would Barca or Real play if half of their first tam was injured!
I love Santi but this is mercenary. The problem is that the players are not playing for the club, just for them and money.

@Fabryi Real Madrid is a bad example to explain your view.
If Diego Lopez got injured, they have Casillas in the bench. In the defense they have Ramos-Varane-Pepe-Nacho for CBs, Marcelo-Coentrao for LB, Carvajal-Arbeloa for LB.
In the midle, Illaramendi-Modric-Xabi Alonso-Khedira-Casemiro-Gareth Bale-Isco-Di Maria and in the attack Benzema-Ronaldo-Morata-Jesé.
I dont think they would have any problem of injured players, they have quality everywhere and their benchwarmers could be starters in many big Clubs...

Santi please leave for Atletico or something in the summer. We dont need more players stirring up the dressing room any more than it already is.

I think Santi is preparing to leave . That is a clear a sign to me . Every time Arsenal player talks like that they leave . It all started with Thiery Henry , when he felt club stopped being ambitious and left to Barcelona.

I hope to god he leaves. Arsenal need passionate British boys not semi talented foreigners playing for money and themselves.

I really don't wish for Santi to leave, I actually rate him very highly and he proved to be magnificent his first season at Arsenal. This season he hasn't been all that glorious so I'm surprised the he would even say something like that. Things tend to look like a big deal through the media so I'm still a little tentative about his words.

Cazorla has been in Arsenal for TWO seasons, and already penned a contract extension. He is in the FA cup semi-finals in his second season, his team has suffered many injuries this season, and comes out with this nonsense. It just sounds stupid in my opinion.

If he really is thinking about packing his bags, there may be something on the inside that us fans cannot see. That, or I don't know what the heck. This pattern is all too familiar.

@Marcus, I hope that is not the case, but it does follow a pattern. So annoying.

Determination, loyalty and passion is what should earn you a new contract. Not being a good player.

@dephased as usual, you are totally disconnected from reality. It's like you're talking to us from ancient football times. Being british doesn't make you reliable.

It's obvious, we need big signings in the summer. And not just one, we need at least 3 great players to improve our squad. A striker and a DM to directly improve our starting line up, and a few others for DEPTH ! The injuries that made us crumble only show the lack of depth we have, that teams like chelsea or city don't.

If Cazorla leaves for Atletico, then it's done. Atletico will be almost unstoppable then.

@KingHenry No I'm disconnected from reality. I have never said being british makes you reliable but they know the rivalry the fans feel and give the extra fight and effort. Most our best players this season have been british, because their our most technically gifted? No but they put the extra effort in.

Im not talking to you from ancient football times I'm talking from an actual fan's point of view, i used to go the games every week and from the stands its pretty apparent who gives it a real go and those who not.

Cazorla is a good player but someone who comes out with those kind of statements and who doesn't give it all on the pitch has nothing to do in Arsenal, same goes for Ozil i hope we sell him for a profit and buy several decent players. Though that is very unlikely.

@dephased you are right , but I do not think foreign players are the reason why football rivalries have gone soft and without passion . They do give extra effort just like everyone . I think it is FA with stupid rules every season that made rivalries soft and without passion .

It is annoying to me too when players are in tunnel hugging each other and joking around . It should be like a war before the game and during the game , but after if a player wants some hugging time then go ahead. Amean they can respectfully say hello with a smile and stuff just like these rivals used to do .

@Vendetta, I can share your view to some extent. Firstly, it is good to never settle for second best, but he is part of the team that is underperforming, therefore he is also part of the problem. Secondly, nothing good comes out of saying this to the media because they feed off of negativity like this. Keep it in the dressing room. I mean what is this? MTV?

Put in a good performance or shut the f*ck up.

By the way, I love Dragon Ball Z.

@ikoiko: "Put in a good performance or shut the f*ck up."

And that is why every team needs a Cesar Azpilicueta!

@Marcus Vieira is another sort of "foreigner" he's been at the club for several years and is aggressive by nature. Players who were in their prime at that time grew up when men were men not the crybabies of today. Veira also learned from players like Tony Adams, Ray Parlour, Martin Keown etc who all made him despise the other teams. Players like Cazorla who think football is just a sport has nothing to do in england, or any place where it means alot more.

Roy Keane is Irish . So , both are foreigners and both were fantastic captains not just great players .

Ok if you are right then maybe that is what Arsenal needs , someone like Tony Adams . Whole Reason why Cazorla is not as passionate as you want him to be . Arsenal is missing real captain . Jack Wilshere is something of Tony Adams spirit .

Irish people is something different thats quite obvious as half of Ireland is british. Ire's know the rivalry very well in Britain, the Irish playing for Celtic has been some of the most aggressive people in the Old Firm for obvious reasons.

Yes, it is QUITE OBVIOUS that we need someone like Tony Adams.
