@quikzyy Pogba and kante have played similar amounts of games so comparing it to someone with 90 mins game time is just foolish

i never said pogba was better becaue of that 0.4% difference...i was trying to highlight the fact kante wasn't better but about the same

and suddenly the stats doesn't matter.

once again putting words in my mouth...i said:

stats dont mean anything unless you put them into context

which is why i put them into context for you to understand because you were clearly failing to...using percentages is a way of giving a stat context hence you kante stats give a false sense of how good he is...clearly he is a very good player but he is not better than pogba.

can't really argue with those latest matic stats...all i can do is question ur sources because it looks jolly unreliable.

it's from epl, let's forget about it and go back to transfer rumours.

  • Fabio Borini is undergoing a medical at AC Milan ahead of his proposed move from Sunderland.
  • Real Madrid president Florentino Perez has confirmed that his club has not held talks with Manchester United over the transfer of Alvaro Morata.
  • Chelsea have been encouraged to make a late bid to sign Roma centre-back Kostas Manolas

@Emo
To be honest, I would personally prefer that we pushed hard for Van Dijk. We might pay a lot, but he is just 25 and moving into his prime. He is also experienced in the Premiere League style of play, which means he will have no 'settling in' and we already know he can perform in the PL.
Despite this, I would be happy with Manolas, especially as he is of a similar age and would cost half the price. However, for me he is a bit of an unknown quantity as I have not watched him much.

@nigelpayne Not actually that big of a lose for Perisic, he might have been decent for you guys but seriously, he is already 28 year old and never player in the PL before, wich mean he would have need some adaptation time at first, meaning not a lot of apparition at first anyway and he would have propably started degrading in 3 or 4 year. Wouldn't have been a good long term move imo. Still, I do agree its a bit sad. :(

@legends16 Yeah, he is a good player but I'm not sure to what level we can take that and wether he would join Chelsea as a starter (over Cahill for exemple) or a rotation player for the CL.

Anyway, here more news:

  • Mariano Diaz could be close to join OL.
  • Bayern Munich seem to have lose their will to sign Sancez and Manchester City would be the favorite to secure his signature.
  • Mahrez and Herrera are Barca plan B if they fail to sign Verratti.
  • Chelsea want a buy-back clause in the deal to sell Ake.
  • West Ham are ready to offload Robert Snodgrass.
  • Both Suso and Ross Barkley are Spurs target.
  • WBA closing on Jay Rodriguez but will need to fight to keep Jonny Evans from Leicester.
  • Chelsea will consider a loan move for Diego Costa.
  • Sheyi Ojo could join Newcastle on loan.
  • Tiemoue Bakayoko could very well be the suprise signing we heard would be revealed on the first of July by Chelsea.
  • Arsenal saw their bid for Thomas Lemar rejected and are now thinking of moving for Marhez.
  • Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang could join Tianjin Quanjian despite interest from Liverpool and Chelsea.
  • PSG might try to rivalize with Chelsea to sign Alex Sandro.
  • Manchester City are worried of being stuck with Samir Nasri.
  • Marten de Roon could be an United target.
  • Tammy Abraham could sign a new deal before going on loan to another PL team like Swansea or Newcastle.
  • Saul not interested by a move to Barca or United.
  • De Gea would have ask his agent to make it possible for him to move to Real Madrid.
  • Issam El Maach from Vitesse have signed for Ajax
  • United are believe to have made another bid for Belotti.
  • Jean-Christophe Bahebeck would be a target for some club in Italy (Sampdoria, Atalanta and Cagliari) and in Spain (Espanyol and Betis).

@emo belotti bid was for £62 m i think...may suggest the morata deal has fallen through..wud link with what @quik said earlier in the chain about perez...apparently real madrid put their asking price up to £80m

Van Dijk is better than all three Chelsea defenders combined.

Anyway more news:

Tottenham have joined the race for Lemar.
PSG now look favourites to get Fabinho
Gibbs to Watford
Conte angry about Chelsea rumoured with Lukaku, he prefers Belotti
Gomez to Brighton

How is Van Dijk better? I'm still missing the point how is he worth 60M..

Arsenal, Netherlands 66 2895

quikzyyy

how is he worth 60M

Today's market is highly inflated. If Stones is worth 50 million I don't see why Van Dijk is not worth 60

Also, check this out. No EPL or Europa League due to copyright though, and he was injured for parts of the season.

For what they're asking for Van Dijk I think it'd be a better option to try to sign Bonucci instead.

@amir I disagree, he might be better than Chelsea 3 CBs in some area, but not all of them. Anyway, thats my opinion.

@Yvan Your not wrong, though, Chelsea will propably need to fork an extra 10M or 20M for him.

And here the official news:

  • Ake join Bournermouth.
  • Belhanda who was a key player for Nice last season join Galatasaray.

And here the rumours:

  • Liverpool to test Leipzig resolve for Keita.
  • Mariano, the young Real striker, would have arrive in Lyon.
  • Sanchez chosed the club he want to be at the start of the season.
  • Andrea Conti could soon join AC Milan.
  • Sneijder could join Sampdoria instead of the MLS after all.
  • Marco Silva want Gibbs.
  • City have opened talk with Spurs for Kyle Walker but Tottenham want 50M
  • Geronimo Rulli could rejoin Manchester City.
  • Sandro Ramirez to join Everton soon.
  • Robin van Persie has emerge as a target for Crystal Palace.
  • Conte make a shock move for Jerome Boateng.
  • Saul want a new deal at Atletico Madrid.
  • Real want Hazard and M'bappe.
  • Morata would have told a friend he is done with Real and want to join Manchester United. BS rumours imo. Morata is an Real Madrid fan all the way, can't imagine him closing his tie with the club like that.
  • Ander Herrera won't be sold to Barca.
  • Thomas Lemar is not for sales.
  • Arsenal would have cooled their interest in M'bappe in order to focus on Alexandre Lacazette.
  • Andrea Ranocchia from Inter is close on joining Inter.
  • Southampton keen on Kelechi Iheanacho.
  • Kieran Trippier as signed a new long term deal with Spurs. Meaning Walker could be free to sign with Manchester City.
  • Milan linked with Barkley?

@emobot yea, might end up being a bit more expensive, but worth it for the experience he's got under his belt in my opinion. Sure he's older, but only about 4 years older than Van Dijk and he's as good as it gets for central defenders.

Oh and Madrid seem to be closing in on the signing of Dani Ceballos, Betis player killing it at the U21 Euro tournament. Apparently, if it happens he will stay at Betis for one more season as a loaned player.
