Disgusting player. Never liked his arrogance and never liked him at all since he was at Manchester United. He is the most selfish player I have ever seen in my whole life.

His action showed more on that vine https://vine.co/v/e7m0LlFIxgd
than the youtube video. But that's all nothing new to Ronaldo.

I dont get what you are getting at.
Is it the fact that Ronaldo kicked the ball in fustration after arbeloa scored. Whats wrong with that, he is a goalscorer and he is annoyed with himself because that was the closest he came to scoring a goal all night. He knows that he should be doing better and scoring more goals. To me that shows exactly why he is a great footballer because he is unhappy with his performance even if his team are winning, he knows that he can do better for his team, the mentality of a true champion.

I am incline to agree with @drunkenmonkey Maybe he is mad because he won't get the bonus that he will donate to charity . He is a great lad , and yes arrogant prick on the field sometimes .

He may seem arrogant on the field and all that but I think he is definition of relentless winner .

I stopped hating on players long ago unless they are c8nt off the field too .

I understand that he is frustrated because he wants to score and improve his game, but if your teammate scores then you must celebrate happily with them. It's normal to want to be the best, but it's disgusting when you're jealous of your teammates.

What a prick that action made him... really really spoiled, I praised him for being a beast, but never for a team player nor captain...

A bit off topic but people can say whatever they want but Messi will be success everywhere he goes, and more influences than CR7.

I agree with drunken monkey, and it is similar to bales situation, he was mad at his performance, not that arbeloa scored, if you saw the game, everyone thought that ronaldo scored but he himself pointed to the sky indicating that it was an own goal. That much proves that he wanted to scored 100%. Plus he did celebrate with arbrleoa and bale just to let you know.

@than lol that just makes him the guy he is. Please guys open your brain, if he wasn't a team player than the guy would take a shot than pass to chica(Ronaldo was in an excellent position to score) in the second leg vs atleti, you would even know that he was just as happy that chica scored and we were in the semi's. I thought you were all better than the media to think this through and wisely. His only mistake was that he should at least tell the press that "why" he did that. If Ronaldo was that sweet lil boy you all want him to be, he won't score half as much of the goals he scored, you guys won't even care if he wasn't competing against Messi each year even if he did that action.

That sounds to me just an excuse, the first time, ok, the 2nd ... well, more than 3 times... it's wrong. As simple as that, there is a fine line between being motivated, passionate and being a selfish prick.

I dont deny any of his brilliant achievements. And he is who he is, but in my 20 years of watching football, very rare if not none I have seen a player frustrated after his "never-score" teammate score... it's purely bizzarre.

Ex: If you angry at your self dont do it infront of your kid if your wife does something nice that you can't (at the moment) it's confusing and just wrong.

Ronaldo alot of time just showed how unhappy he was when he didnt largly contribute to the win but the team wins. Doesn't really matter what his motives were, but he would make his teammates scares and would serve him like a queen, for his personal glory.

Nope, that is a different view, what I call when you dont know CR7 or who doesnt watch him play, you see with a Madrid fan perspective, I pretty much saw it coming, he hasnt scored in 3 days, Messi just yesterday scored two great goals, (1 goal difference between them) So he isnt the guy that would just be quiet and hide his emotions. Every single player would in some cases just let it out, for Ronaldo he does it cause he doesnt really concern about other peoples opinion.

Ronaldo wont leave any single trophy aside. The thing which pisses me off is that 95% of the people didnt watch the game and only commented when a single person just blasted it out. Plus it is no excuse, this may be off topic but like when Alex said he is a "disgrace to football". That pretty much says he just blasted it out without thinking.

If i see something that is 99% correct but not 100, ill keep searching for that 1%. I only agree if something is 100%. The reason is why i dont agree because he actually celebrated, and yet everyone is saying that he didnt. Hope empty minded can everyone be. I am actually amazed that this got viral. Props to Ronaldo for making 50% of worlds population concerend about him more than his/hers personal lives.

I said I wouldn't say anything but FootyRoom's ". . . Speak Your Mind . . . " might've changed it ;--D

I don't know how I can say this ... but how deep are some of you in him? Yes.
I'm FUC*ING getting enough of this he's competitive thing, I've probably said this before, but even if C.Ronaldo bombs a city away, you fans would get a pathetic reason to defend him.

There's something so hard to admit when he does something wrong, or maybe he seriously did the right thing in your opinion, maybe in your guys opinion FOOTBALL IS A GAME WHERE SINGLE PLAYERS HUNT GLORY AND DON'T GIVE TWO SH*TS ABOUT TEAM.

Let's put it this way, next game C.Ronaldo scores a hattrick and NOBODY of the team would celebrate, NOBODY. Let's see your reactions then.

C.Ronaldo cares ONLY about himself and ONLY wants himself to succeed. If you're going to defend him, then don't FU*KING tell us that this just shows that he's a teamplayer. He is NOT a teamplayer.

Most pathetic thing was that photo you gave, he didn't even LOOK at Arbeloa in the photo. So I just gave you vine where he shakes his head, 'cause Arbeloa 'stole' """""HIS????""""" goal and kicking the ball out of frustration when your TEAM (that should be main priority) scored.

Can someone say that a guy is a teamplayer when he's mad when his team scored a goal 'cause it wasn't you?

As said in the topic, this was far from the first time.

@decent I'm not deep into him, however I don't say stuff which isn't 100%, so let me see how ignorant and arrogant ronaldo is. Yes let's say he is the most selfish player on the planet. This guy loves himself and scoring that he will be happy of he scored a goal even if it was him playing by himself. Yeah why are there fans, why should we support our team. In fact let's not watch matches and just agree with some kids and the media which is definitely the right thing. I'm just curious why does that arrogant ronaldo didn't accept the second goal. Even the stadium said goal from Cristiano, yet he waved his hand indicating that he didn't scored it. How does someone who loves goals not accept this free goal, awkward?

Off topic, but if it was messi or any other player who didn't accept the own goal to himself, the world will go how he is the most loyal player and crap.

Ronaldo wants it all for himself. Look at messi, not top scorer but he still is top assister. Isn't that good enough for ronaldo. Not like scoring goals is the only thing that can make you the best footballer

Disclaimer: This is not to defend Ronaldo in anyway, shape or form. Stupid reaction from Ronaldo and as a fan I must say it's disgusting to see this...

Look at the pics

I don't know his true intention with this smile, cause clearly I haven't cut his heart open.

as I've mentioned before, I truly don't know what happened here. If the kick is what made you upset, then that is a stupid reason because EVERYBODY did it b4. I could easily pull vids of similar reactions, but there's no need.

If Ronaldo was actually upset, then screw him and his selfish mentality.

He is just that type of person. There's no point in criticizing him over it anymore because he is one of the greatest ever, and not celebrating or showing frustration at an inability to score doesn't change how amazing he is as a player. I don't understand why people view him as just an arrogant prick when he is one of the most humble footballers off the pitch on this planet. He frequently donates money and time to his fans, saves the lives of others, raises awareness for world issues, and loves his supporters.

So what if he is arrogant on the pitch? Muhammad Ali was arrogant. Michael Jordan was arrogant. That's why they were winners. It isn't a crime to be arrogant. People don't understand the role confidence has in sports. Messi also has an extreme self-confidence - he just shows his in a different ways. For me, this wasn't even a display of his arrogance. It was just him being frustrated at not scoring. He wants to be the best, and winning the Pichichi is of importance to him. Messi has caught up to being only one goal behind him, and CR7 hasn't scored in 3 games. He has simply kicked the ball into the net in frustration, but he had a smile on his face. People are trying to read too much into a situation.

Of course I'd love it if he grew the f*ck up and celebrated with his team mates more, but Cristiano is Cristiano, and there's no changing him anymore. He is self-absorbed, and that's part of what makes him CR7. I don't mind others calling him arrogant, because it is true, but arrogance shouldn't be always put in a poor limelight.

Another thing I'd like to point out that he isn't arrogant to the point where he is blinded by his own success. He knows that football is a team sport, and understands it very well. His assist numbers are among the very best in the world (he has 21 assists this season compared to Messi's 25). In the quarter finals against Atletico, he passed to Hernandez instead of shooting for the game-winning goal himself, which was good of him. It's true that he had to really reach for the ball, but he could've shot it, and the fact that he didn't shows me that he cares more for team success than individual success. Against Malaga, when Hernandez assisted him, Ronaldo went and celebrated by himself to satisfy his ego. But, after doing that, he riled up the Bernabeu crowd and told them all to applaud Hernandez for his assist. That is something I've seen very few players do.

Just my two cents.
