Personally, for me. Ice Hockey.. and Motorsport. not American Oval stock car racing... but tournaments like the DTM, WTCC and F1. tricky tracks, sexy cars, high drama. 

the thing is i dont give a shit about the drivers, its the cars man. i cheer BMW for all motorsports so whatever driver drives a BMW im on his/her side.

Couldn't really just name one, for me.

Ice Hockey - I enjoy it just as much as football and find it more entertaining to watch, and watch/listen to my team every game night.
F1 - Watch every race but it has gotten very boring in recent years with Vettel winning everything.
BTCC - Just love watching this, all action, and love watching the crashes :P
American Football - Most people hate it and think it's boring, but I really enjoy it

how can it get any better?

I enjoy watching American Football but I do not "follow it" seriously. I find Driving sports, Cricket, & Baseball mind-numbingly boring. I think I'd like Rugby but I don't get enough exposure to watch it on a consistent basis. I can watch the odd Tennis match. 
In the end, I don't have much time so I use any time I get to watch sports almost exclusively on Football.
