@shpalman

If AC Milan is indeed the one of the top 10 richest clubs, why doesn't it spend money like them? The richer clubs seem to be Madrid, City, Barcelona, PSG, Chelsea, Bayern, Monaco, etc. Milan just doesn't have the same kind of money those clubs do.

And no, Milan is not the most successful club in Europe. Milan has won 47 trophies. Barcelona has won 48 trophies alone if you include just the Copa and the league title (they've won 81 trophies overall). Real Madrid has won 77 trophies. Liverpool have won 65, and United have won 62.

Heck, Milan aren't even the most successful club in Italy (Juventus has 55 trophies). So if you tell me to "inform myself, because this thread is full of misinformed statements", you should practice what you preach, because you're very misinformed yourself.

@ Tiki I think you are watching too many conspiracy theory documentaries.
Modern football is not " the mirror reflect to the economy in the world"

Ever hear of the Calciopoli scandal Juve were caught match mixing and sent to

Serie B. It would be like Arsenal in BPL sent to Championship. That would cast a dark cloud
over the league. Affect is integrity.
The reason why Milan are in the situation they are in now is simple. Berlusconi was taking more
money out the club than he was investing back in. After 10/11 they sold Pirlo to rivals Juve. Big mistake. Obviously didn't learn from Inter. After 11/12 huge departure of club legends and World class talent.
Nesta, Gattusso, Seedorf, Inzaghi etc,forced out in favour of a new and young inexperienced Milan squad. Zlatan and Silva were sold to PSG and replaced with the likes of Zapata, Constant, Bojan for 12/13 season. The begining of the decline for Milan.

As for Inter, Morratti has poured hundreds of millions from his own wealth after he took over in 1995. After he suffered

huge loses in his Petroleum business he was unable to keep pouring in money for big transfers, star player wages. He decided to sell 70% of Inter shares to Thohir to bring stability back after the worst season in 20 years. Moratti is still on the board so Thohir cannot change Inter's image like Vincent Tan has done in Cardiff. I was not very happy about a new foreign owner who had no connection to the club. Morratti knew the only way Inter could get back to competing for titles was to get a new Investor. So far Thohir has not done anything too drastic. He handled the Guaro-Vucinic incident very well and won over some Interisti. Fired the much loathed technical director Branca. Did some great business in the January transfer. Brought in two solid players in Hernanes and D'Ambrosio. And if he can further strengthen the squad in the summer he'll win over even more Interisti. So Moratti is still there to keep traditions Intact and Thohir is there to invest to strengthen squad.

What the hell is wrong with this bloody FR editing?? "Something went wrong. Check your input and try again later."
Anyone else see this message when you try to edit sometimes? So annoying. I thought FR fixed this... -.-

They fixed the "/" part, but I get that problem editing a lot too. :/

Yeah, I don't get that "////" problem anymore after that Lodatz editing thread, FR got it fixed. But this editing error message just appears randomly. When you try to edit again later, the same message.. FR need to address this issue asap. It's quite infuriating.

@Emrecan

ACM had worst periods that this one. this is what many fans "of the last hour" don't know. about the financial situation, basically we are already spending what we can, within the FFP rules and the Italian law. surely odd coming from a man like Berlusconi lol. besides the FFP you need to count also the law in each country, things in Italy works differently from Spain. now you say that Berlusconi is going to have to consider things, you're right, in fact he did. all these last changes in the economic aspect of football forced the society to take diffferent paths. they are re-modeling it all to fit and grow in a healthy way into the new system, within the rules. in the past you could make bigger debts or freely pump money into your club. not anymore. to spend more, ACM needs to profit more: for example FCB makes 117mil on machdays, ACM 26mil. that is an aspect that ACM has to improve = new stadium. if with the new stadium ACM will make 80mil, that means that we can spend 54mil more (than current situation) to buy players.

you may wanna check this, serious stuff: <http://www.deloitte.com/assets/Dcom-UnitedKingdom/Local%20Assets/Documents/Industries/Sports%20Business%20Group/uk-deloitte-sbg-dfml-2014.pdf>

who has the time could translate that pdf into a thread.

@shpalman yeah you are right. A new stadium can change many things. Especially financial situation.

And where did you find this document from? Thats really cool stuff like you said. I understand your point.

By the way; I once had the theory and from this document I noticed my theory was right. UEFA tries to stop Turkish leagues progress because of problems between some Turkish club presidents ( for example Fenerbahce) and UEFA. Fenerbahce tried everything but they'd be banned from Europe for 2 years. They never did match fixing. Even former Galatasaray player Hakan Şükür said I dont believe these news about match fixing. And I dont know you know it but UEFA banned my club too for 1 year. Beşiktaş
Anyway But I still think that Turkish league is gonna be in top 5 in 4 years.

@Shpalman

Are you sure you know how to read? It says AC Milan are the second most successful club in terms of "international trophies". In terms of ALL trophies won, Milan are a far, FAR cry from being the most successful. It's quite sad how you twist words to defend your initial misjudged claim of Milan being the most successful team in Europe.

@Dynastian

perhaps i used the wrong term, still, ACM was, untill some weeks ago, the most titled club in the world yes. there's no misinformation in my statements.

i replied to the other questions you asked in your previous post with that .pdf, you may want to check it out.
i don't think i am disinformed :)

about the pdf, you're welcome

I think Calcio fans dont get it, talking about Juve ? The best Italian team so far have not the Europeen power level...
Im not talking about competition in Serie A, thats obvious Milan and Inter will qualify to CL next years, but i cant see them reaching Europeen Elite level without injecting millions, they lost some attractivity comparing to other leagues and they are not able to compete in term of wages with other teams.
What did Mourinho was brilliant, you sold us Ibra for Etoo + 45M and it gave him enough money to make a strong team with less money to spend, i dont think its going to be possible again specially without Mourinho.
Its not a question of bad season, you have the problem that Lyon is having, limitted recruiting and lack of competitivity in paying wages and its not going to change next year.

@wolfie : No, i know the diference between conspiracy, propagand and what could be the truth. You seem to ignore the subject, so why talking without argumenting ?

@tiki_taka

you may want to re-read my previous posts. you CAN'T just inject millions like you want. also, what kind of point is that. i mean, we all know that the sky is blue, don't we?

edit: i agree on what you said about EU economical situation tho', you may want to check how Germany manage their state titles, BUNDS, and you'll get why they have an huge advantage over the mediterranean economies. even if i don't really know till what point that can affect the big clubs.

They may be first in some special rankings, but never first in winning major trophies, and of course it wont change in the near future.

@Tiki

Yea, they're first in international trophies won (Club World Cup, Intercontinental Cup, etc.). That's all, LOL. Because they have basically half the total trophies Barcelona does. Barca and Madrid both have more trophies than Milan if you include JUST La Copa and La Liga (Milan 47 trophies, Barca 48 Ligas + Copas, Madrid 50 Ligas + Copas).

@Dynastian & Tiki_taka (actually more to Dynastian)

untill now i was extremely polite, what the f*ck is your problem dude? so lemme see: you're a dude from TORONTO who supports RM and Germany, and wanna lecture ME about MY club, its identity and history?

seriously, you're funny. i mean, i have to read a thread in which people says that Milan lost its identity, that it's doomed to failure unless we become like plastic PSG/MC... and i can't even reply?

i didn't call anyone names, i weighted in and simply stated that the thread contains misinformed statements:

Milan is on sale: FALSE

Milan lost its identity: FALSE

after that, i got you and Tiki attacking me on a personal level. seriously, what's your problem?

what you wrote is not correct, your view on ACM it's purely an OPINION of yours, it's not a FACT. the most interesting infos were posted by me so far in this thread. did you even bother to read that? because then you wouldn't go around blabbing your plastic bullsh*t like "money it's the only solution to be a top club".

and anyway, more money , the better: DON'T YOU SAY?? jesus, such deep point of views and analysis on here. basically if you don't copy/paste some stats or article from somewhwere, you ain't able to put up a decent discussion or point of view.

the stuff i posted showed that there are "several" things going around the economy and health of a club.
we could talk on how to improve the youngsters department, so that a club can grow champions like FCB does... naah too boring or elaborate, let's call eachother names and do the game "my club is better than yours gnegnegne". with all the arguments you could develop, oh you intelligent Dynastian, you decided to go on and beat the dead horse of trophies calling me ignorant because i misplaced a word which changed the meaning of my statement.

ACM it's (was) the most titled club in the world, that's a fact too and we have it written on our match jerseys.

how do you cope with that? send a letter to ACM and call 'em ignorants because they got it all wrong.
btw, the point of my statement was to make understand that a club with SUCH AN HERITAGE is not going to lose its identity just because of a bad season! get it?

also i wanna quote you: "@Shpalman: You are ignorance at it's finest"
