Arteta can't get us over the line & he's proved that in the last 2 seasons. With many managers we would've won the league last season & this season. Our attack has become dead instead of improving. Saka Jesus martinelli all became worse especially martinelli. We need a new front 3 & havertz is garbage. Odegaard goes missing in difficult games, we need a better CAM. Therefore our front 4 should be benched & we should buy better players to be in the first team in their position. Our current bench is league 2 level, they all need to be sold including crychenko. But Arteta won't make these improvements. We haven't signed anyone which shows we will finish lower than 2nd next season. Arteta no cup finals in last 4 seasons is pathetic. Even if he wins a trophy next season he must be sacked

And who would you ideally replace arteta with then? You said the attack got worse but arsenal score more goals than previous season and conceded less. Also stats point toward the attack being improved. They are also working on signing on calafiori. I cant agree that the top 2 will be any different. Chelsea and liverpool have new managers, man united is a sinking ship, tottenham is tottenham lol so who else is gonna finish in the top 2 then?

Wenger won the double twice against the best EPL manager in history in less time than Arteta's been at Arsenal. We have no attacking upgrades this season and martinelli just keeps getting worse, we will go another season without s trophy.

ðŸĪĢ I tried supporting another team before but I can never do it as I grew up as an Arsenal fan. I can only want us to win or lose. I dont know anyone who has supported one team for most of their life and then changed to another team. But I like city more this season as they got the best winger in the league Savio. We don't stand a chance to win the title this time.

City are more vulnerable now due to no rodri so it gives us a good chance if we keep our players fit. But it's unlikely that we will keep everyone injury free the whole season so city are still favourites.

Yh Liverpool are looking good but we shouldve beaten them at the Emirates. Arteta made us sit back the entire 2nd half otherwise we couldve finished them off. On the bright side Edu has left the club, he did some of the worst transfer business in football so this is a major step in the right direction. Hopefully now Arteta leaves.

Hey mate, you know I appreciate you and your presence on the forum but you might want to tone down a bit on the messi hate, I mean, its perfectly alright for you not to like him and his fans but recent comments you made on the forum are just gonna annoy those who do like him and it add zero to the discussion so it would be great if you were able to show some restrain on that level if only to respect the rule and show respect for other user who don't share your view. Hope it all good with you and thank you for your continued presence on FR.

Not anymore. Its the best position we've been in after 14 games in our club's history. He deserves another season for this alone.

The best strikers have missed open goals and it wasn't a bad miss. The ref blocked him, It was on his left foot and it hit the post. Martinelli has been consistently playing well, and when he first had his run at Atsenal he proved he's a good finisher.

How do you feel about the news arteta contract?
Footy_watch 3 years ago Edited

The club couldn't be more clear about their lack of ambition and small club mentality. After we get knocked out of all cup competitions earlier than any season since 1990, they say to themselves "these are the records I want to see broken more", hence the Arteta contract extension. This is some next level foolishness.

Thankfully I missed the Burnley game, the highlights showed good bits of football but its embarrassing to not beat Burnley and to not score at your own ground. Martinelli should play upfront as we need a striker who scores. Top 4 is possible but I don't think it will happen. A better manager could've had us in second place.

We have scored in 2022. City at home 2-1. However I agree on the striker situation. Lacazette is a shitbag as well as nketia. I rather have giroud at this point dare I say. Lacazette has missed a sitter against Liverpool in the last game and now against Burnley missing an open goal smh.

I dont see the Burnley miss as a sitter because he could only use the outside of his foot which means the ball was only going away from the goal. I wouldn't take giroud because we have martinelli.

Mate it was an open goal. Should have toe poked it then. And also mattinelli isn't a great finisher either. He missed an open goal that cost us to go 2-0 up against city.

If the old Arsenal returns then they will become my number one team again. But that may take a long time

Is that why the galacticos went trophyless with star players in every single position ? Anyways psg isn't even an all star team tbh. No world class left back or cdm of note. If psg bottle it then I will switch. One thing for sure is I won't support another English side. Probably bayern or something

Like I said they aren't world class players. They might be good at some aspects but aren't something special. A star studded team means world class in every single starting 11 position.
