hey there mate, sorry for the delay, been very very busy lately. i didn't really say that the EPL is only about long balls and solo efforts, but the basis of the english game is still that one. i have specified that the situation changed a bit since some good foreign coaches joined EPL. still, the level of organization of the teams, the player's tactical awareness, but also players composure in the fundamentals of football is definitely lower than those you see in the Liga and Serie A. Mourinho for example knows that he has an edge over the others, and that's because he knows he's a good tactician, while most of the others aren't. tactics. english coaches are quite average when it comes to tactics. name me a good english coach, not many names comes to your mind right? now think about spanish and italian coaches. see the difference? think about the last friendly between Italy and England, and look at the different way the 2 teams played football. Conte tactically dominated that mach for 70 mins with a team of nobodies. people you never heard of. the only dangerous chances by the english side were solo efforts, equalizer included. i wouldn't say that England has a great school of football, all the good stuff you see in the EPL is brought mostly by foreigners. if England had a great school of football they would have won something at some point, but it's since the '60s they don't win anything. not even the golden generation (Scholes, Beckham, etc.) were able to achieve anything. now there is some good english talent among the players, like Barkley and Sterling, and that's it. there are no high profile coaches either. i definitely would not say that England has its great school of football. regarding La Liga, yes, Barca and Real dominate la Liga, but you also see clubs like Atletico being able to contrast this dominance. and beside that, the level of the other clubs is high, middle table teams are hard to beat and tactically they improved very much in the last 15 years. Barca and Real might be far by a mile, but a club like Sevilla is a different level too when you compare it to a club like Wolfsburg for example.
