as far as i can see city played better than porto and had much more chances to score, i even can't see why they should have been lucky, if the defender had missed it balotelli would have struck it in. this just a close but deserved win of city. and all the people who just keep saying:they just buy and buy and buy top class players-thats just exactly what all top class teams do all the time!!

I agree with you 100%. Manchester City have big ambitions, and if they are to achieve it, they need to attract World Class Players, and the only way to do that is by spending big. Its not as if the spending is going to gradually decrease and level off as time goes on when we have put together one of the best squads and we even start churning out our own youth graduates from the Manchester City youth academy.
