They play like they’re playing individual sports. Lol. What a joke to see them together. MNM wants to score and don’t want to assist each other. And other players in PSG are trying to compete Messi. This game was a joke. City will win both home & away versus PSG. Lmao

Mauricio pochettino is suitable for teams like Tottenham, wolverhampton or even Olympic Lyon but PSG is a big team and he could not manage all the stars in the team

A team of stars does not guarantee you every win. Don't know why i'm so happy seeing this scoreline. I was watching the Liverpool game yesterday and I was like damn!! They are very good. And this team does not have a 'star' player in it, except maybe Salah.
You say what you want but right now, Bayern, City, Liverpool or even Chelsea are better than this PSG team.

its a new team with a few key missing players. I'm sure they'll play better, it takes time. nothing alarming just yet honestly. Those who say otherwise are just PSG haters or they dont understand the imiportance of chemestry and habits in a team... Not saying this team will work, just saying to not burry them too fast because of an draw on their first champion league game

So Messi went to PSG for no reason. All this talent in PSG including PSG couldn't get the job done against Club Brugge. Just shows how trash Ligue 1 really is. They're not use to this.

My point is PSG faces these teams that are outside of Ligue 1 and struggle because they're used to easy games in Ligue 1. That league is no competition. Serie A is way tougher than Ligue 1.

@RonaldoisLuckyAlways I usually disagree with you but you're right on that one. Cristiano wants a challenge. He said it himself after Zlatan talked shit about him when he was at MLS then Cristiano responded "I wouldn't go to lower league clubs like MLS". Ligue 1 is as trash as MLS tbh. But i'll give it to Ligue 1 it's a bit higher than MLS. His point is he will not play in a retiring league such as MLS and that also includes Ligue 1 since it's one of the worst top leagues out there.

@Lambo91. Once again, PSG didn't win Ligue 1 last season. Also, PSG got to the Champions League Final in 2020 and the semi final earlier this year so they are more than competitive at this level.

As per usual, (like a lot of punditry) you suffer from recency bias and a deficiency in long term memory/long term thinking. You judge teams on their last 90 minutes.

@Footy_watch they come from Lgue 1 but develop a name of themselves AFTER their Ligue 1 career because they can finally showcase their talents against tough teams. Wissam Ben Yedder is a huge example. He's such a class talent but that won't be showcased until he leaves Ligue 1. He would get way more exposure if he plays in LaLiga, Premier League, Serie A or Bundesliga. People know how trash Ligue 1 is. It's one fo the top leagues in football but the worst top league in football when it comes to competition.

Your first point is wrong as mbappe is arguably the best talent right now whose only played in ligue 1.

Your second point is right as other leagues are more popular.

Now let's look at your last point.
In the last 21yrs:
-serie A and la liga had 4 different winners
-premier league had 6 different winners
-Ligue 1 had 8 different winners

This already invalidates your last point, as the most competitive league is the one which has the most winners, and that is Ligue 1. It gets worse for you because juventus won the title for 9 seasons in a row. This is more than the other leagues and serie A has the joint least winners, making serie A the least competitive league.

To conclude, this suggests that you have a strong and unfair bias against ligue 1

@Footy_watch The difference between Wissam and Kylian is simple. Wissam already played in LaLiga, Kylian has been in Ligue 1 since the start of his career. Wissam showed that he can still hang with the top clubs in LaLiga but we haven't seen that with Kylian that's why i kept saying if Kylian ever gets nominated as a Ballon D'or nominee then the system is clearly rigged and act like it's FIFA on consoles where the most popular get the most attention.

@Footy_watch I always laughed at those who mention his World Cup victory BECAUSE he plays for FRANCE. If you play with France you will also win a World Cup just so you know. Playing with France guarantees you a world cup trophy so don't get give me that accolade comparing it with playing in a league; you're comparing playing a couple matches vs in a league where you play multiple matches until the end of the season. GTFO.

yes. Our only top class player there is Verratti. Gueye and Herrera are playing well and should be starters with Verratti. But after that all the other midfield are below par.
Everybody says PSG has galactico team, but when you look at the midfield it really isnt a galactico miidfield...
Our best midfielder behind our starting 3 is BY FAR Marquinhos (i know he plays CD).
Danilo, Paredes, Wijnaldum, Draxler have never impressed me (Paredes SOMETIMES, but god was he bad today ...)

This I agree with 110%... all these years I've never felt PSG had a midfield good enough for a UCL champion. The only player that has maybe been good enough is Verratti, but somehow he always manage to be injured or suspended.

Our midfield was crap. I have not been impressed at all with Wijnaldum since he started playing for us.... Verratti and Idrisa have been the only two consistente onces in midfield since the beginning of the season (herrera has scored some goals too)... We lack midfield creativity, all balls went backwards and not enough physical impact.
Bad tactics as well.

On the positif side, it's thew first real game for a few players here, it's a draw, not all is bad. And Nuno Mendes looks very interesting.

Dumb a** Icardi. Comes in for Mbappe and goes offside 4 times in 10 minutes and ruins everytime the attack. Mediocrity written all over his forhead.

Anyway PSG were too offensively balanced and were outnunmbered in the midfield. This was because Poch did not dare to sub Neymar or Messi. Verratti once again showed how much he means to their midfield, his absence was obvious. Also I would have put Marquinhos as a DMC instead of the useless Paredes, they would have needed his presence there. And too bad Mbappe went off, he was doing good.

Brugge were so much hungrier and felt like they had to prove a point of not being a punchbag.

What Neymar did? Seriously that’s 222m in mud. He didn’t create nor had one shot on goal.
