This is the first time I see Italy scoring that many goals. Seeing this makes me happy and mad at the same time!!! Happy that Italy is back at the top of their game but mad because of a clown, like Ventura made Italy look like a clown team. Still can't forget and forgive Ventura for Italy's failure to qualify for the 2018 World Cup.

Team with ranking like Armenia shouldn’t have been playing against Italy in the first place.

I think Europe should have two different qualifying stages. Something like the CL. Picking teams based on FIFA ranking or CL participation where the lower teams will compete against each other to qualify for the final qualifiers? That way those smaller teams can have a better chance if drawn with a moderate group and overall there be more competitive matches and thus, more interesting qualifiers. This could apply to the WC too where making it to the final qualifiers could be an achievement in itself for the smaller teams instead of getting destroyed by the big guns every time they participate.

I think they are trying to kind of achieve that with the introduction of the UEFA Nations League, aren't they?

Actually yes, they can achieve it with NL if they exclude the big teams and somehow tie it to the Euro and wc qualifiers.

It is already tied to the European Cup play offs.
"...the usual Euro 2020 qualifiers in 2019 will be responsible for 20 of the final 24 teams. The other four will emerge from play-offs created by results in the Nations League – one for every tier, right down to League D." Yes Sweden never had players that were fun to watch mate, Larsson, Dahlin, Ibrahimovic, Ljungberg, Källström etc.
Sorry they are trying to achieve the best with what they got at the moment and its not to your satisfaction... -.-

@Wromthraxxx I'm talking about the past few years.
Their football today is effective but far from beautiful, that's what I personally think from a spectator's point of view

Their football today is very effective but not not beautiful, that's what I personally think

I mean I won't deny that Sweden's team isn't the most flashy these days but we also don't really have any superstars anymore. It's not the prettiest but it's just the most effective way for the current group of players to get results. Can't blame them any more for being defensive than you could do for your typical mid-table club team

@amarildorajta I see, well its a needs must situation as people stated.

They would get battered if they tried to play a short passing, possession game with such a team and at least Sweden is still more fun to watch than bloody Iceland:)
