That's not how offside works, dumbass.

does offside work differently in Serbia?

@SarriBall: I dont think it matters where Willian was because Azpilicueta recieved the ball and he was nearer to the opponents' goal line than both the ball and the second-last opponent. Willians position is not of any relevance.

@Pelle in the goal replay we don't see where Willian was, and no, Azpi wasn't on the goal line, that's why I said he has a point until we see the position Willian was at when Azpi received the ball that's all, even from my first comment I said it's offside cuz from what we saw. but we don't know where Willian was cuz he was near the corner line.

I never said Azpi was on the goal line, I just copy/pasted the rule itself. Azpi was nearer the opponents goal line than the opponents second last player and the ball. And the ball didnt reach Azpi from Willian, it was deflected by Alonso which nullified any relevance of Willians position.

once Alonso makes contact heading the ball, both Kovacic and Azpi are crucially, behind the last Cardiff defender.

Agree

Honestly speaking this Chelsea side is a joke! They don't have the zeal to finish top 4 this season maybe they should allow serious teams to earn the top 4 place and continue playing with Sarri balls coz that seems to be the only thing they enjoy doing this season.

Referencing the penalty is understandable, but you and the commentator don't seem to take into account that Azpilicueta was mid-air, flying into an onside position in which he landed no more than 0.2sec after the contact of the ball. Give the referee a break, he's seeing it in real time mate, not to mention that it's a negligible, if not non-existent, offside advantage that Azpilicueta gets from this play.
