Video refs are the future. But they need desperately to be managed in a quicker way inside matches. Too many stoppages killed the game's momentum several times in this one.

Well it's still newly-implemented technology for football so it'll take a while to perfect. But either way VAR is a necessity which I can only hope is here to stay, they just need to slowly but steadily improve it to become faster and more efficient in the coming years

Refs will get quicker at this and people will get used to it. There would be a stoppage of time upon a goal and players complaining to the ref about potential off-sides or hand ball or whatever so if they can get the video review in just over the same time as without, I think it'll benefit the game. Look at goal-line technology. It had skeptics but it's proven invaluable. I think the benefits of getting the crucial decisions right outweighs the extra bit of time.
