Chelsea was much more dangerous, shame they conceded from such a stupid mistake after playing so well. Willian was amazing.

Suarez could actually have had a penalty, but since he makes so much drama around these kind of situations the ref suspected this was one of those times. However it lead indirectly to the goal... but what a defensive mistake from chelsea. Im no pro but I learnt in the kindergarden that u should never make a pass like that... by Christensen. Kante and Iniesta were best for each team imo.

The carpenters from London will have two options in the return leg: either play to score more than one goal for a win or a draw, which they are not capable of doing, or play for 0:0 which is what they always do

Enjoy Messi, Iniesta and Busquets until they still last because you'll never see anyone like them anymore. Just like Xavi back in the day. Who cares of eleven handicaps in blue shirts, burps on the history map no one will remember two hours after the game...

Stupid Barca defend. No one actually mark Willian carefully when he did make 2 same tries with similar distance from goal. 3rd try = goal. haha

Chelsea's tactics, force them to defend deep in the box. Have Hazard on the ball from the corner means disruption to marking, Willian could have been marked way quicker but at the same time it would have been at the cost of leaving their position.

Barcelona played a poor game, but what can you do against 11 defenders. In my opinion Chelsea was playing very much like they did under Mourinho and it makes the game boring, effective, but still boring and kinda cowardly. Why not play more aggresive, leave the attackers higher on the field and try to win the ball? Well because noone beats barca at possesion and it's hard to win the ball back and so alot of teams just "park the bus" and wait for barca to try to get through the barrier and loose the ball -> counterattack. BORING

In fact it was more clear than the one given to Tony Kroos.
If Tony Kroos got a pen for a ghost tuch, why not Suarez's?!!

If anything Iniesta deserves way way way more credit for having the hunger to hunt that terrible ball and the make the pass to Messi for a basic goal. All came from error, and it was an unforced error that's the worst part. A forced error would be pressing a player into making a mistake but this was literally nothing, It was like literally passing the ball to Barca to score .

Even during peps reign they struggled..imagine now. I think BCN has adapted to current squad quite well. Its a solid team in the back and has the experience now (after several CL cups and also dropping out early two years in a row to "technically" lesser teams. BCN in my opinion isn't a favorite but the underdogs. No one expects them to go through because they depend on messi too much and don't play pretty football any more. Hell, atletico have been two time finalist and didn't play pretty football. They had a solid defence and compact team who knows its role. Same for Juve, strong team in the back. Chelsea had an excelent game plan and i think they were unlucky but thats football though. Why we love it. Anyway, im looking forward to the game at Camp Nou. Visca Barca

it was by no means barcelona's most beautiful football. Far from it but this barcelona (aging) has understood that it has to adapt to a new way of playing. New coach, no neymar and investing that money on long-term assests isn't easy. At its core barcelona hasn't changed but the team has aged and when you play an away game in london, against one of the most lethal teams counter attacking teams in europe whom also have probably one of the best wingers after neymar (hazard), one of the best GK in the game, on of the best CB (azpi) and two time PL best player (kante) you just can't expect to see barcelona to bulldozer opponents like it used to.

I wont put hazard below neymar in all fairness. Hazard's moves are more calculated than neymar. Just neymar plays more flashy and better marketing. Not gonna turn this to a debate, both are extremely talented and capable but personally i think hazard is more calculated and a bit more of a team player with less ego.

Yeah Hazard is actually very, very direct and less 'skillful' but gets the job done the same as Neymar. think both are fairly equal. Barca have hard times ahead, Once busq/iniesta retire, Suarez not getting any younger and Messi well there's a chance that Messi may leave. Once that happens you must think what is Barca now? Same when SAF left us and our team aged and retired/left, we were instantly different and had to rebuild and we still are rebuilding, It's hard to maintain character and a team in this day and age when players shift around so much.

Chelsea should be ashamed of them selves over umtiti monkey chants, piece of shit club barely makes it in the champions league and talks shit , that was a penalty to fuck all your shit complaining about normal call. Its easy to blame the referee when you suck.

They were not monkey chants. They were booing him for his stupid play acting. They were also booing Aleix Vidal for rolling around on the floor like they have been shot.

I'd say "farmer's league champions", to be exact. The level of EPL is so primitive, a sunday backschool friendly veteran game looks more professional. What is Chelsea by the way? A suburban ghetto in the darkest corner of a city that you can easily mistake for the worst parts of Africa or Asia?

I dont understand why some say chelsea were better team because they have more attempts or barcelona because of possession, I think the game was played like how it should be played for both team. You cant play shit if you're at home, that's why you play push and quick like chelsea did and you cant risk concede many goals at away like vs PSG last year, so ball possession is your option. Anyway, Willian killed us today and gave a warning that they could do the same at Camp Nou

It's a mistake that chelsea did not exploit this game. They can score 3 or 4 goals imo. Such a bad result to bring to the camp nou . May the best team win.

I was actuallly more furious watching Barcelona play this match. They pass around like usual but it was sloppy. Mistakes happen and there goes Willian with a freaking long range class. They cant chase him down which makes him a very dangerous target. I hope Barcelona will do way more in second leg cause defending only wont be enough to stop Chelsea
