This was a strategic display and the right one. You have to be cautious when playing against defensively tough opponents in the Europa League. 1-1 is a good result away and it is advantage United at Old Trafford. Certainly better than getting the 3-2 treatment against Rostov like Bayern did earlier in the season.

Yeah, blame on the pitch. First second I saw the pitch I understood why Fellailni is playing. There was no way to play fast footbal there, only long balls and put the ball in the box.

man u plays long balls regardless of the pitch.....if fellaini is on...its long balls. actually im going to go even further and say. 80% of the games man u plays are long balls to zlatan. if zlatan and falliani don't play, that's the only time you see no long balls

@Gonzi Have you even ever watched United match? They average nearly 60% possession in Premier League, how can that possession be long balls? This is just a particular match when they did actually play long balls, and that was because of the pitch.
