Was definitely not expecting this. Seeing the past performances of both teams, I thought this might have went in favor of Inter. Again, it's not easy playing at the San Paolo. Hamsik has to be one of the most underrated midfielders in all of Europe
Now, this was the Napoli team we were watching the entire previous season - perfect technique with the ball on every inch of the pitch, fearsome attack, creative midfielders, many, many goal chances, attack and only attack, all 90 minutes, and finally, a great execution by the strikers (which is the weakest spot in Napoli's team this year, ever since Milik got injured, and this could be clearly seen in the results). If De Laurentis wasn't such a cheap bastard, and actually kept his promise and spent all the money he got from selling Higuain on buying new (top of the line) players, Napoli would've fight for the Scudetto, and they wouldn't have any problems in CL. If he truly bought Icardi, that would've been scary attack, along with Milik!
Thus, let's hope they'll buy a striker in January.
Man...you're saying : "...given Napoli's form we should've at least tied", and I'm guessing you refer to the fact that Napoli are far from their best, in this part of the season. But this match, Napoli reminded us on their true self, played the way we all know Napoli plays - intelligent game by the midfielders, creating many chances, strikes being effective, great execution, excellent defending (mainly by attacking, and not allowing the opponent to come often near their goal)...Not only INter, but no one stood much of a chance against this (the real) Napoli!
Given Napoli's struggles lately, I actually thought Inter might get a win tonight. Pffff what an embarrassment. Its as if they thought the game was starting ten minutes later. This inter system...every time Napoli had the ball, they seemed to get a shot on target.
Well i said it before , Pioli have great ideas about attaking but like we see our defence under him is poor f*** shit . ohhhh feel sorry for Pioli...he have to deal with Ranocchia
LOL !!
Thus, let's hope they'll buy a striker in January.
once a mediocre will always be a mediocre
